The Melbourne Zoo was great, lots to see. The butterfly house was my favorite thing at the zoo. When you enter the zoo you get a map, just follow the map and its easy to find everything. I went to the zoo on a very hot day, I would recommend you don't go to the zoo on a hot day... More

Great fun day out with our grandchildren. We are Members of the Zoo as we like to support the good work that is being done for the animals. You can easily fill in a whole day at this venue.

Oh the Zoo was really great. It had a great verity of animals there. We were there four at least four hours. We did have a little trouble finding our way at times.

Amazing zoo - not just for the variety of animals, but for the presentations, activities such as animal encounters and the quality of the exhibits, animal health and enrichment programs. I've been several times (either with friends, family or my partner) and everyone is blown away. It's a great full day out, or even a half-day if you know what... More

I regularly have international visitors come to Melbourne and the Zoo is always a compulsory stop. The layout and design is very open and very natural. The animals habitats a open and as life like as possible, making the experience a memorable one

A very interesting visit with lots of species that we don't always get to see in the UK (even in zoo exhibits) - lots of water points as it can be quite hot on sunny days in the park.

Great location, expansive grounds, well maintained, great enclosures, nice staff, easy walking, great huts, good ramps, reasonably priced, reasonable (not great) food outlets. But where are the animals? One seal, one tiger, one elephant, no lion (he sadly died yesterday), one pygmy hippopotamus, two pelicans, one red panda, one philippino crocodile, two otters, one platypus, one tortoise, no rhinos, 2... As our family live in different parts of Victoria, we decided to have a family day at the zoo. It was a very enjoyable experience, great for the grand kids to wear themselves out (and us) The animals are very well kept & kept in clean living areas. We were able to interact with some of the animals which was... More

A very pleasant and exciting experience. The aviary and butterflies were delightful. The wild dog feeding frenzy was excited and the baby Gorilla charming. One star deducted for confusing layout without proper signage (even the map didn't help). Connectivity to the city is great via the metro train. There are live shows for different animal enclosures every hour, time your... More
