Went to Melbourne zoo for another visit with the kids and some friends. Whilst many big cats (our main reason for visiting) were not seen, there were many other wonderful and well looking animals to be seen. The butterfly enclosure was a favourite as always. The staff are friendly and helpful. Lunch was very over priced.

Spent a couple of hours at the zoo today... in 38 degree heat... and you know what... there was plenty of shade around to make it a great day...... Not too many people braved the heat so it was an easy walk around...... the animals were a little tired but we still saw all those we wanted to.... Watching the... More

Melbourne Zoo is fantastic, beautifully settings, so many animals and reptiles to see. A must is the butterfly enclosure as long as you are happy for the butterflies to land on you, the kids love it. The Zoo is close to the Melbourne city so plenty of public transport, if driving there I suggest you leave early as the parking... More

Took the family here. Really good zoo. We loved the lemur enclosure where you get to walk among the lemurs and the butterfly enclosure was beautiful. Kids enter free on weekends and victorian school holidays. Good value for money. Plenty of places to grab some food or bring your own. Totally recommend.

Melbourne Zoo is fabulous. The new larger exhibits including the walk through Lemur enclosure especially. I would suggest to take a picnic as food is hard to get. Leave lots of time to get most out of your visit.

We had a great time but be ready to walk. We packed drinks and food to lower the costs. We great during school holidays because the kids paid no fee to get in. It was a hot day and very busy. I would recommend getting there early so you can get a park or you will have to walk a... More
