I have been to many a zoo around the world, and we are very lucky here in Melbourne. Great for the family, great set up, lots of shade on a hot day. And great enclosures.

The zoo was well worth the short tram trip from the city. Loved the graceful giraffes and the curious meerkats. It was clean and tidy and there was a lovely cafe were you could sit outside and eat.

I couldn't believe you could see the lemurs up close and personal like we did. It was so fun! The elephants, giraffes and kangaroos were my other faves. So cool!

Melbourne Zoo is a great day our for all ages. Pricing for entry is reasonable, but I would suggest taking your own snacks if you're on a tight budget as the options are minimal/expensive. So many great animals to see.
