This was a cool place to grab a drink. The view was not spectacular but it wasn't bad either. I did not try the food but it looked good :)

the cinema is held on the roof of the Curtian building in CBD. Easy layback experience with deck lounges and chairs as seating bar and food available prior to starting good range of current movies to view. Its fantastic to be watching a movie while the city is coming a live for its night time explosion of lights. great backdrop... More

It was such an awesome and fun experience to watch a movie on a rooftop bar with beautiful views of the skyline! At first I was worried if we'd be able to see from where we were but every seat is equal. One tip would be to go early!! Doors open at 830PM but when we got there for that... More

The Rooftop Bar awaits after climbing seven sets of stairs or waiting an interminable time for a small elevator that creaks and wheezes its way to the sixth floor before the final outdoor set of steps. We went on a Wednesday evening before the movies for a drink and the place was full, music pumping, reasonably priced beers and cocktails... More

Nice deck chairs laid out (close together so it's annoying when people go to the toilet). Try not to sit behind someone tall as the deck chairs make you sink in slightly. Movie quality was fantastic, sound could have been slightly louder. Gets cold at night so take a jumper!! Nice and quiet during the movie however towards the end... More

This was Such fun. We booked and paid Online which was so convenient. I recommend get there early to get a seat as this is very popular and seats are unreserved. There is a Br and burgers available but we didn't try these. Best chic top I've ever had! We hired blankets as we are not local. Well worth it... More

I don't know how we found this roof top bar, but it is a find. You've got to walk up lots of flights of stairs, or go in what seems to be a very dodgy lift...... But then you find the roof top bar, with views over the skyscrapers. It's a bit basic, and a bit wet if it rains,... More

I walked seven floors up past a Wing Chun martial art school to a crowded roof top bar with great vibes. Mainly young people, students and workers. Not a posh place. But prices are cheap. Sangria at $8 and margarita at $12. Informal so don't worry about dress code. Burger shack was closed at 1030pm when I got there. No... More

I came here with some good mates and we had a blast. The bar is great for a an evening after work, and the view of CBD is wonderful.

The bad: the bar staff aren't the greatest, even when its not busy it takes ages to get a drink. When they are out of stock of something they dont tell you, they just wander off to go and get whatever it is they ran out of whilst you are left waiting there wondering what is going on. The good:... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
