There are 2 parts of the Philip Island Tour - The Wild Island Tour and the Guided Ranger Tour at the Penguin Parade. The Wild Island Tour starts with the pick up at 11am and goes on till 7+ in the evening before the Penguin Parade starts. The pacing of the Wild Island Tour is relaxed and you get to... More

Yesterday Travis took five of us on a wonderful tour of the Great Ocean Road. Was it long, yes. Was it fun, yes. Was it informative, yes. Was it worth it, absolutely. Even the dinner was good. I had the chicken Parm. Leaving later than other tour really helps beat the crowds.

We took the Little Penguin Bus on the Great Ocean Road tour. Very enjoyable - wonderful scenery and knowledgeable guide. We saw wildlife in natural habitat, rain forests and of course the Ocean. The history of the road along with local knowledge made this a very enjoyable 13 hours.

I did two tours with the little penguin bus, on two separate days. I'd researched things to do in Melbourne before coming to Australia, and this company popped up. I liked how they don't do the other touristy thing and it seemed a more personal trip. My goodness it didn't disappoint, I'm so glad I booked with The Little Penguin... More

We were transferred to this tour company from the company we originally booked with. I am thrilled that we were. Even though it took us a long time to get to Philip Island due to traffic/construction it was absolutely worthwhile. The bus was comfortable and our tour guide, Katie, was very entertaining and knowledgeable. She was also very flexible and... More

Went on my own to see the penguin parad but so much more than that with this tour. Small group and experienced driver/guide mad the whole (long) day so much more than just a one trick pny of the parade. We stopped to see stingrays in San Remo and had a fabulous lunch there too! I had fish and chips... More

We had a brilliant day with Rob, our knowledgeable guide. Saw stingrays, pelicans being fed by the lical fisherman, cute koalas in the trees, wallabies crossing the road and spent some quiet time in a hide watching the water life. Of course the little penguins were amazing, it was great to watch them coming out of the sea and waddling... More

I was transferred from a tour that I missed due to an error onto a tour of the Great Ocean Road with The Little Penguin Bus. Serendipity, because I absolutely loved going with The Little Penguin Bus! Small groups, personal approach and a tour guide (Katie) that was committed to giving us a great time. Easy-going and a pace that... More

We did the full day (13 hours) wild island tour, and had Rob as our guide/driver. Can't compliment him enough, informative, helpful, entertaining and interesting to chat with, he also knows a lot about the wildlife and clearly loves the outdoors. We saw Roos/Wallabies/Echidna/Possum/Pelicans/Swans/Geese the list goes on...all in the wild. We also saw koalas at the reserve. Rob took... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
