    Enjoyable lunch surrounded by colour
The exhibit mainly consisted of one enormous room where art was projected on the walls. I am guessing, but would say it was about a 1.5 hour cycle. You can stand, sit or indeed dance! We had lunch in the café with a good view of the walls. If we hadn't had lunch I think I would have found it difficult to stay for the 2 hours that we were there.

    Absolutely breathtaking!
Our visit to THE LUME was one to remember. The sheer scale of the space is like nothing else I've ever seen, and the scale of the art presented is made to feel on an even bigger scale when complemented by the beautiful music and distinctive scent. Truly a must-see!

    An Amazing Experience
This is so much fun and so cool! When you enter there is a room with some information about and a cool exhibit, then the next room is huge there is screens and amazing music and painting playing over the screen with information. There is little rooms to side, they are very cool and interesting. There is also a French style cafe where you can eat and drink stuff while watching the the screens. It is an amazing time and great for all ages, as there is a section where you can draw a sketch of a painting. 10/10

    Immersive experience
A magical immersive experience in art. We saw the show ‘Monet and the impressionists’ For the best experience move around the space, pausing to soak up the art work that will be cleverly displayed on multiple surfaces. The experience will change your concept of art.

    Easter Monday visit
My friend took me here last Monday as I was returning back to Sydney in the evening. We really enjoyed our time there. I bought a brooch pin and a throw blanket. But it looks more like a long scarf. We had lunch at their Cafe. The painters digital wall was impressive 👏 👌 😊

    Connections - don’t miss it!
Absolutely brilliant! The exhibition, the music, the explanations and the set up were excellent. Make sure you take the time to view from different positions in the hall and do go to the mezzanine level for a very different experience.

A must for all Australians & overseas visitors
I love the LUME, it never disappoints. This exhibition is visually stunning while also educational. Give yourself plenty of time to being enveloped in the art & landscapes. It made me yearn for another outback trip. I also love that the LUME cafe menu changes to suit each exhibition - the kangaroo was delicious.

    Connection at LUME Melbourne
We were blown away with this installation. As a team event it was a great way to immerse yourself in first nation history and for a moment reflect on the importance of knowing a bit more about our countries heritage. Timely so as we make important changes to our countries acknowledgement of our first nation people. Nice Work LUME! Steve Smith CEO ALWAYS LIVE

An awesome experience in visual effects and sound.
This is an experience like no other. I have never been a fan of Aboriginal art but this has converted me. Views from the floor the art displays are brilliant but from the mezzanine they become an experience. Be patient as the show starts slowly but then it explodes across every blank space including the floor. My eleven year old grandson was equally blown away but the blending of art, music and visual effects if you only see one thing in Melbourne, this has to be it.

    A must see
Loved it. A great immersive experience. This is not to be missed. It’s an excellent way to connect with our country. The curation is engaging and the music well chosen. So nice to show our own Masters rather than imported artworks.

We had such a wonderful experience at The Lume, it was our first visit but certainly won't be the last, the experience was just phenomenal. The place was so lovely to visit, it was nice and clean and spacious, they didn't overcrowd it, which I was a bit worried about. The staff were so incredibly helpful and lovely. We aren't typically art gallery people but we had such a great time we'll absolutely be going again! Highly recommend

The changing digital images of various First Nation people's artwork was spectacular with panels describing their work so informative. I laughed as children chased the lacey waves projected onto the floor.

Truly immersive experience. Also educational, but mostly an acknowledgement and reminder of the beauty, depth, richness, and significance of our First Nation's people and culture. Great effort Lume!

An amazing taste of first nations culture and their story being told. Interactive, sensory bliss, the ebb and flow of art, music, stories and much needed awareness to our history

A must see digital art gallery which provides valuable information about the Aborigine, beautiful art & music in such a great atmosphere. This is an incredible experience. Also the food at the restaurant and the view were great. I just purchased my ticket online and there was no waiting and great, friendly service. Would definitely join again!

Most relaxing experience after walking to St Vincent's and then from there to South Wharf ! I just relaxed on a floor couch and soaked it all up.The music was amazing and it gave me a much greater insight into the spirituality of the Indigenous First Nation People and the way they connect to the earth, sky and water. So interesting.Thought I might be there an hour but spent 2 and probably would have stayed longer if I didn't have to catch a train back to Traralgin.

If you like Aboriginal art and are interested to understand how ‘country’ inspires First Nations People and get a better understanding of the culture and beliefs of the people who have lived here for 2,000 generations, the Connections at The Lume is a fantastic way to spend a morning but you have only to early February to see it.
The exhibition exceeded the expectations of my family and I wish I could go back again before we leave Melbs.
Ps discounted parking at $12 for the day was an added and unexpected bonus. Everybody loves a bargain!!

An amazing, immersive experience of indigenous art, music and film. Find one of the comfortable “mattresses”, lay there and just absorb the experience! It’s wonderful!
