Just by way of clarification, all bookings are automatically and immediately acknowledged with an email indicating that seats are indeed reserved upon booking. With the Penguin viewing upgrade tickets - we do have to reconfirm availability with the Penguin Centre and confirm the upgrade immediately we are advised by them. We do not charge credit cards immediately both for this reason and also to ensure all guest plans are finalised in order to minimise any refund fees we then have to pay the merchant facility (and do not pass on) if guests cancel due to cancelled flights or other such unforeseen circumstances. This does not affect bookings and seats remain reserved and confirmed as per the original booking. Hope this helps. Paul

Our Great Ocean Road Tours are $149.00pp adult including morning tea, lunch, drinks and snacks. our Penguin tours are $129.00pp inclusive of all entrance fees with the Penguins Plus upgrade an additional $25.00pp. We provide direct hotel pick up and drop off to all city locations and advise the exact time at least 24 hours prior.. All our tours take a maximum of only 11 guests in our custom built Mercedes vehicles with many complimentary extras to make your experience comfortable. Unfortunately Tripadvisor recently removed the links to operators websites without any notice or warning. We are very concerned about this as their response is it was to make it easier for guests to find more infirmation which is clearly not the case. In reality it is forcing us to get a "book now" button on the listing which takes you to Viator (a Tripadvisor company) which then take 25% commission. To us Tripadvisor was born out of being an unbiased forum from which guests could make an informed decision based on independent reviews not a sales channel for one of their companies. We have consistently been rated the top truly small group operator for 8 years but now if you choose the "book a tour button" from the category we are at the bottom of the list - after all those operators who have the button. How is that in keeping with the charter of this forum? To survive we now have to incur an additional 20- 25% cut to our bottom line in order to be found on our true position. We are a family run company who only operate 11 seat vehicles in order to provide a more unique and personal experience. We have not increased our prices in 5 years despite rising fuel, wages and cafe/restaurant costs. Now we have to find an additional 25% without any warning. We could simply raise our prices by 25% but would you book us? It looks like we will be forced to do this so all we can say is book through our website and save when that happens.
