Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Alfonso is brilliant instructor, highly knowledgeable and nothing is too much trouble. He takes the time to address everyone in the group, ensure that we all traveled at the same pace. But what was extraordinary was the photographer’s tips and tricks, you could spend everyday for ten years taking photos and not gain as much insight as Alfonso shares with you in three hours.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Day and Night Photography course in Melbourne with Stef as the instructor and guide. The information provided was excellent and the opportunity to try it out practically and gain feedback was invaluable. We were able to visit some parts of Melbourne I'd never seen before, and the secret night time shooting location was fantastic. I came away feeling motivated to put the new skills to the test and am very grateful to Stef who was knowledgable, friendly, patient and very generous in his instruction (and a genuinely nice guy too). Highly recommended. Thank you Alfonso, Stef and team.

Thank you Alfonso and Luke for a really informative and fun morning. My aunt, adult son and I were thoroughly enthralled and learnt many new things. The trip was well structured with an agenda that took us to three interesting sites that allowed us to practice our assignments.
It wasn’t just about wandering and hoping something interesting would appear to snap.
So proud of our photos and new tricks.

I had a great afternoon on the Day Photography Course in Melbourne. There were 4 of us in the group and we all wanted to learn how to move beyond the auto settings on our DSL cameras. Peter was patient, helpful and very willing to answer all our questions! We had a good amount of practice time and I felt I learnt a lot over the course of the afternoon.

We did a short course with Paul Gonsey from Melbourne Photography Tours as a professional development undertaking for our staff. We had the best experience learning how to use our IPhone to take fabulous photos. It was so good we intend to do a further sesison later in the year.

Stef was a fabulous tutor. He was very knowledgeable and explained each technique clearly. Not too much walking required but we went to a number of different places. Small group meant we received individual attention.

I got this as a gift for Christmas and it was the best thing I've ever done. It is good for beginners as well as mre experienced photographers because you are given the main principles to take photos but you are in control of what you photgraph. It really allows you to let your own creativity come alive! The people who run it are very friendly and willing to help you out with any question or concern you have. You also have the option of borrowing one of their cameras (if you are in the market to buy one but have no idea where to start - like me) or you can bring your own to learn how to get the best out of it. Totally worth it and you see sights of Melbourne that I've never seen before. It makes you look at things in completely different light.... FANTASTIC!!!! Joseph is the best...

A photographer's tour of any place is just a little different from the general tourist's approach. Melbourne Photography Tours is the way to go if you want some understanding and helpful direction as you look for that special angle.
Touring the Melbourne CBD with 'photographer's eyes' open, with step by step simple instruction from friendly, encouraging and knowledgeable tour guides... who could ask for more?
Going out in search of the basic elements of good composition, one at a time, and building on them as the tour goes on, is so much fun. These guys are patient, helpful and so openly friendly.
But it doesn't all end on the day - we receive notes by email, offers and news of further tours, even a monthly photo competition, without being too pesky and filling our inbox with unwanted junk! As well as this we have received a copy of Alfonso's beautiful 82 page, full colour ebook "Unlock your Creativity" - an excellent tool for the beginner or more advanced photographer, reminding us of those bold and basic elements of photography in more detail. Love it!
I hope to bring my camera club friends to do a tour soon.
Not cheap - but worth every cent for any aspiring photographer. Thanks guys!

I thoroughly enjoyed the smartphone photography course with Stef last weekend. There is so much information given on composition of photos and enhancement through the app. It was a lot of fun and I can see an immediate improvement in the way I approach framing a photo. I will be looking forward to building on my new skills as I practice. There was a lot more information here than just how to take phone photos and I think it is worthwhile for any type of camera. Thanks Stef.
