Went on the chocolate sightseeimg tour, had a fantastic time! I met my tour guide, Jenny, outside St Paul's Cathedral. From there we went through many great laneways and arcades and had so many samples of chocolate. Highlight for me was getting the time to look in depth at some of the smaller stores around Melbourne that I miss during the usual daily hustle. A big surprise of the day was how much honey featured - honeycomb that was from beehives on rooftops in the city, and a trip to Beechworth Honey in the Block Arcade. Most random part of the trip was to a colombian style cafe in Queen St where to our hot chocolate we added....cheese! On top of all the samples some of the locations you go to give you discounts on their products, both while you are on tour and after.

Would definitely recommend for any chocoholics out there.

We had a wonderful day walking through Melbourne with Emily. Never would have found some of the venues without the tour guidance and everything was very personal, private, and enjoyable. Vendors gave discounts and were very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this tour to to anyone in Melbourne that enjoys chocolate and seeing things from a “behind the curtain” kind of approach. Additionally, the tour was very affordable for what you got (5 stops at 5 different vendor locations). Walked away full but everything was just a delicious little sample.

Do yourself a favour and just do it. You won't be disappointed!

This experience far outweighed all of my expectations.

Tonya was an incredible guide who got to know each tour participant and shared her knowledge of Melbourne throughout the tour of specific interest to our group members.

Her bubbly and friendly personality topped it off, and the chocolate samples were of outstanding quality, varied and plentiful.

I loved seeing more of the opulent lanes, alleys, landmarks, shopping and dining spots which I never knew existed in our beautiful city.

A suitable experience to enjoy solo and meet new people, as a couple, parents or carers with older children or in a group.

I'm so grateful for the opportunity I had to have this experience, it truly couldn't have been better.

Would I recommend Melbourne's Chocoholic Tours?

Absolutely!

Really enjoyed this activity. I had never done a walking tour before and as it was my first time visiting Melbourne, it was great to walk through different lanes and discover lots of hidden gems! It was lovely sampling different chocolates and cheeses too and rounding off the tour with a lovely mug of hot chocolate. The only downside was that I ended up getting hooked on Koko Black dark chocolate salted caramels and am missing them terribly now that I'm back home in Ireland!! I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone wanting to walk through the laneways of central Melbourne with the security of a group and guide and of course for anyone who loves chocolate!!

This was a great insider tour visiting all these out of the way stops in the different lanes & arcades. Our guide, Tonya, shared interesting information about all the places we visited as well as the general area. The weather was a little unpredictable, so she took us on the tram between 2 of the stops in case it rained, which we appreciated. The Gewűrshaus spice shop was amazing & we loved the chocolate dumplings at Din Tai Fung - very different. Also loved Rewine, which is such a cool idea. Truffles at Koko Black and Only Mine were delicious, with lots to choose from.

The tour was quite a revelation...new chocolate venues that I was unaware of and new ways to enjoy chocolate...Coal River Farm and Gewürzhaus Herb & Spice Merchants in the Block Arcade are places I'll be revisiting. Koko Black in Royal Arcade and Club Columbia in Queen Street were pretty special also. It was very easy to overindulge. Julia, our vivacious and well-organised tour guide, happily shared her insights about chocolates and chocolatiers.

I live in Melbourne and it was really great to do this tour and play tourist. This is a chocolate tour but it was more than that which was a great surprise. On top of the chocolates, there was a slice of Columbia, a little bit of India and even a hint of Germany. You don’t have to love chocolate to enjoy this tour (it helps though) Seeing some of the laneways Melbourne has to offer was also lovely and our tour guide Amanda was delightful, very engaging and fun. In addition to chocolate I also tried some delicious cheese and experienced an amazing spice house.

My family of 2 adults and 2 children aged 11 @ 13 yrs thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Julia. We got to sample more chocolate than was specified in the tour description.

The tour was very suitable for children with Justin a little talking at each stop but not too much.

There was no pressure to purchase at each stop.

Lovely way to spend an afternoon.

Certainly one for the chocolate lovers, my partner & I loved, loved, loved this tour.
I love that they not only give out chocolate but give some interesting facts about it and some strangely perfect pairings. Our tour guide was super helpful and had a whole bunch of other activities to do, things to see & great food recommendations. 100% recommend to all chocolate lovers
