Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife gave me a one to one photographic tour with Greg for my birthday. We met at Flinders station at 6.30pm as I love night landscape photography. Greg was able to take me to the best possible view of the city and advice me on some great composition for my shots. His expertise was invaluable and I would highly recommend this tour to anybody. I am looking forward to do another tour with Greg and hopefully it will be a sunrise tour.

I took my Melbourne Photo Tour with Greg on about a 2 degree Celsius cold August morning. I was fortunate enough to be the sole participant that morning so had's Greg full and undivided attention for the duration of the tour. I live in Melbourne but he still managed to show me parts of the city I didn't know existed.

From a photography point of view I was shown diverse and interesting locations both inside and outside. Greg talked me through every location and explained the best composition and exposure settings for each shot. He was easy to talk to and happily answered any questions I had.

Greg's tour is a fantastic one and I recommend to anyone with an interest in photography.
I'm left with great memories of the tour and some equally great shots.

Had a really great private walk with Greg Currier web site - http://melbournephototours.com/.
The personal photography trip started at Flinders Station and we walked up the street with the graffiti and wound around streets to the Parliament buildings. The weather was overcast and drizzly so the reflections and colours were excellent. See my photos at https://www.flickr.com/photos/dianaandrews/sets/
Great has had years doing photography and I recommend his small tours if you want to discover the little known areas of this wonderful city

The Melbourne Photo tour with Greg is a fantastic experience. My day started at 1.30pm at flinders street station and meandered through the interesting lanes and sites of Melbourne. A quick stop for dinner and then off to take photos of Melbourne at night. We spent more than eight hours with Greg learning how to become a better photographer. I learnt some new skills, but the night time shots along the Yarra were simply outstanding. I have some super photos from the day and am more equipped to take better photos in the future.

We did this tour back in January, actually it was Australia day which shows Greg’s impressive dedication for sharing his knowledge in photography. Greg is a very easy going guy and adapts the tour based on the participants wishes and prior experiences/knowledge. We found the tour very interesting and enjoyable as it wasn’t focused on the hardcore technical stuff, rather gave us a creative new way of ”thinking photography”. Hope you find this tour as good as we did!

I just did the tour on the weekend, basically Greg is great. He is such an easy person to work with and being a complete beginner, you don't feel intimiated. He also let me bring a friend along which was really nice and I appreciated that as some of the other tours don't let you do that. I learnt some great skills and I highly recommend Greg's tour.

I went on a tour with Greg this
morning around melbourne cbd. After Greg gained a basic understanding of what level
I was at with my photography and what I hoped to gain from the tour, we set off. Greg has you view melbourne itself and photography view points from a whole new level. He takes you on a trip around town and teaches you how to view things and photograph them in ways I myself would never have done. In the course of 3 hours I went from being someone who likes to take shots of beautiful images and surroundings to someone who is able to now do that while taking that image and creating something artistic and creative without any editing. He has me wanting to explore photography from a whole new level now. Thanks so much Greg, I will definitely see you again in the future.

I upgraded my point and shoot about 12 months ago, but I had no clue how to make full use of the camera.

I learnt so much from our tour guide, Cara, I can now actually get the shot on my camera that I picture in my head. And so many different techniques! In addition, the tour was historically informative, quirky quiz questions, loads of laughs, and sensational coffee stops.

Being a plant enthusiast, I was thrilled that my request to take in the Melbourne Botanic Gardens was met with equal enthusiasm. The light, depth of field, positioning, colour… my learning list goes on.

From there we walked down St Kilda Road to the War Memorial, Melbourne Art Centre, Flinders Street Station, Hosier Lane and Federation Square.

My camera and I have finally made life-long friends. And the enjoyment from the tour photos, as well as photos I’ve taken since, is great.

This tour ticked all my boxes for enjoyment, knowledge, great company and life-long skills. I now want to do the night tour!

Thanks again Cara and Melbourne Photo Tours.

This was a birthday present for my girlfriend who just bought a new DSLR and has been interested in photography for quite some time. Greg, the guide/teacher was really friendly and patient. Because it was a quiet day, we were the only two people on the tour and he really catered it to our tastes and pace. We got to explore lots of hidden laneways that we had never come across (even after more than 20 years living in the city). Greg is also an excellent photographer and very inspiring. Highly recommended for everyone and anyone!
