This was a fantastic tour. Cam was very professional and friendly. Myself and the whole tour group had a good time. I took the Koala experience and it was a really great one with wonderful photos and videos! The scenic views of Yarra Valley were beautiful and a great way to get to see more than just the city. The lunch, wine and cheese pairing were phenomenal as well. I highly recommend this tour if you want beautiful scenery, animal encounters, great wine, tasty food and a friendly atmosphere.

Overall it was a pleasant experience visiting the various vineyards in Yarra Valley.
Started with a clear pre-pickup information, I joined the other visitors for the day trip. A small group of us were chauffeured and guided around Yarra Valley by Paul. The tour covers various types of vineyard and styles of wines. It also include a delicious lunch at a very scenic restaurant.
Paul did a great job and I would highly recommend this Vinetreker tour.

We were interested in this tour as we have been to Melbourne several times before and wanted to explore a new wine region.
We had a few queries before booking - Paul was always helpful and quick respond
Pick up on time in a a very modern and pristine Mercedes mini van.
The Macedon Ranges did not disappoint - beautiful scenery and great wines.
Paul was a great guide and gauged us and our needs really well
Loved the small, less commercial cellar doors that we visited. Even though we are not really red drinkers, all the reds we tasted were delicious.
Tasty lunch by an open fire - perfect on a winters day.
Definitely one for repeat visitors to Melbourne or if you want to visit an area less commercial than the Yarra or Mornington.

We went on a wine tour with this company after a very early start to the morning doing a hot air balloon ride over the Yarra Valley. We thought we were going to be tired but we enjoyed the day thanks to our fantastic guide Rob! He made sure we were entertained and had enough time to soak in every detail from all the wineries we visited. Definitely booking with them again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Yarra Valley Wildlife & Wine Day Tour with Paul. The Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary provided a wonderful opportunity to see and learn about Australian wildlife. In fact, our experience there far surpassed that of subsequent visits to the rain forests in Kuranda & Daintree, in terms of being able to closely observe native Australian animals. From the Sanctuary, we traveled to the Yering Station Restaurant for lunch. The restaurant is lovely, and its setting, idyllic. Our lunch entrees and accompanying wine were outstanding. After lunch, we walked to the Yering Station Cellar Door for a tasting of some of their storied wines. Following our time at Yering Station, we traveled down the road to the De Bortoli Yarra Valley Estate for a wine & cheese pairing. Both tastings were very well done. The wine & cheese pairing was the perfect finale to such a lovely day. We are grateful to Paul for all he did to make it so. He was beyond pleasant, engaging and knowledgeable. We highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Melbourne!

Our day and tour with our guide, Cam, was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable about the different wines and gave us extra interesting information in addition to what the staff conducting the wine tasting provided. And he also assisted us with advice when we were unsure about which wine to purchase after the tasting.
Our overseas friends who were visiting loved seeing our native animals up close at the sanctuary and we were all learning so much interesting information from the Sanctuary’s guide that we never knew before.
We were also all really impressed with the delicious lunch at Yering Station and the cheese and wine pairing at De Bortoli.
It was everything we hoped it would be and so much more. I have already had other overseas friends commenting on our Facebook posts and wanting to do the same tour when they come and visit in late August 2024.
So we will definitely be back to do this tour again in August 2024!

What a fabulous day with Paul. Paul is a wealth of knowledge of the various wine areas surrounding Melbourne. We visited 5 wineries, and had a fabulous lunch! Conversation was invigorating and intriguing. I highly recommend this tour with Paul, or maybe a tour up to Yarra Valley which is also very pleasant. Thank you Paul for the education and fun!

My wife and I had a wonderful private wine tour with Paul. He is extremely knowledgeable and took us to the best wineries concluded by an excellent lunch. One of the best mornings of our trip to Australia.

We truly enjoyed ourselves, as the day was nicely paced with plenty of time at each of the five vineyards we visited. We enjoyed learning about the grapes used to make each vineyards wine offerings. Lunch at Yerring Station was fabulous with lots of regional dishes to choose from in a beautiful scenic setting. A special treat was having Cam as our wine guide. He’s well known at the wineries we visited and he freely shared his years of wine experience with us throughout the day. We highly recommend the Yarra Valley all day wine with lunch tour.

The Mornington Peninsula winery tour with Cam was very informative and we went to some lovely wineries. We had some beautiful wine tasting, cheese and lunch choices in a very small group. Perfect for a lovely day trip to get out of the city. A very convenient service organising the wine purchases to be mailed home too. Highly recommended.

Hi. Can a diabled person do the animal sanctuary and the Yarra Valley wine tasting? Is there a lot of walking as the person walks on crutches and a bit slow. Thank You.

There is very little walking during the winery visits and it’s all done at a leisurely pace, you are never rushed.

I will be traveling to Melbourne at the end of May 2018. I understand this is the winter season. Are the Winetrekker tours still operating during the winter? Are the balloon tour, wildlife viewing & vineyards still a possibility?

Our tours will be operating at the end of May, in fact they run all year round. The weather is a little cooler but the day is spent mostly indoors. Everything we offer will be available (wildlife and balloon).

The maximum number on our public tour is 11 people, some of whom may opt for the food and wine while others may wish to visit the native animals at Healesville Sanctuary. The time at the Sanctuary is approx 2.5 hours which gives you time to see the key animals amidst a beautiful bushland setting.

January in Melbourne can be quite hot, although when joining a wine tour, you will be transported in air conditioned vehicles and the wineries' cellar doors are also air conditioned.The 2 main wine areas are The Yarra Valley which is North East of Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula which is South of Melbourne. Both areas average 25 to 26 degrees in January.

I don't believe this would be suitable for a 6 year old. The child would be bored with the travel and the wineries. Would suggest Healsville Zoo or the Phillip Island to see the fairy penguins.

We are wondering about a tour on a Sunday, departing Melbourne CBD (9:00 am?) and returning by 3pm same day. Does this time allotment fit into one of your wine tasting options? We are only 2, happy to be in a group for tour.
