Was really fun and the boat is super easy to drive! Loved the experience.
The only thing is they were a little bit busy and the boats were delayed so we had a booking for 12.15 and we ended up leaving at 12.45, but they let us return later too so we could have our full hour.
Ill recommend to book for a min of 2 hours and do it with a max of 6 people (adults)
Will definitely do it again :)

This is the second time we have rented a Goboat and again the booking process, customer service and experience was exceptional. We headed towards the docks this time and away from the gardens and loved it. There was so much to see and it was very interesting looking at different
points of interest. One thing to note is that we went at 5 in the afternoon and it was 29 degrees, we would have definitely taken an option of having some kind of shade if this was available as we are a family with 2 children. It’s something to consider for next time.
Also- love the new location. So much more accessible than Banana Alley! (For us at least!)
All in all, a great little boat trip and would happily recommend.

Hi there,
Thanks for the feedback, we're so glad you had a good experience with us! In terms of sun protection, we used to have covers but unfortunately they couldn't fit under some of the bridges near docklands so we had to limit boat height by removing them.
Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
Happy sailing!

We were about to do more a touristy boat ride when saw a few GoBoats around. We booked for that same day and everything was seamless including sign up process and process when we got to GoBoat to pick up boat (easier than I expected to rent the boat). We could drink on boat and had a much better experience than what I would've had on public cruise.

We just rocked up, a spur of the moment thing. This event requires a bit of planning, make a trip of it. Get a few couples take a picnic basket some drink, a hat & sunscreen, there is no shade. Do the two hours, time goes fast. Do what you can online as it's a lengthy sign up process & video tutorial. The staff were friendly & well versed with their roll. Putting down the river gives a different perspective to the city views.

The experience was easy to book and coordinate online. On boarding was a breeze and even though we were a bit late arriving the staff were very understanding. We had a great time celebrating a birthday for two hours on the boat sailing down the Yarra on a beautiful Melbourne Spring day.

We decided to give this a go (more just to do something) during restrictions, and it was great. I only booked an hour because the weather wasn't the best, but I'd definitely be booking longer (and with others) during Summer. I found the booking process really easy online, and the staff on arrival were friendly. Thanks for a great time, and look forward to coming back!

This was a must have Melbourne experience. The boat comfortably fit 7 of us. We chose the 7:30pm trip on January 1st to capture the golden hour. Pictures were amazing. Pack your picnic and jump onboard. Super easy to operate and staff are very friendly. Thanks GoBoat!

6 of us adults hired a GoBoat one chilly but gorgeously sunny June morning. We took our own champagne and (Lune!!!) croissants and fruit. For the hour we hired it we went towards Docklands, turned around before Bolte bridge and back to GoBoat dock. It was a beautiful, quiet trip along the river (yay electric), a great way to see Melbourne. The whole experience was easy and fun. All the staff were really friendly. Would do it again going in the other direction. Highly recommended.

I’ve explored a lot of Melbourne over the years but this was the first time I had driven a boat on the mighty Yarra river. It’s incredibly simple to drive and navigate. The staff were extremely helpful and instructive. I would recommend packing a picnic and bringing an esky (you can also hire)
So much fun for whole family

Is an hour long enough, how far would I get and what would I see in that hour. thanks

An hour was plenty with two kids but if just adults in your party I would say 2 hours would be better as you’d see much more. We went towards the gardens/ out of the City for 35 minutes and then came back again. You can go the other way towards the Docklands which I think would be cool too.
