What a great experience this was. We saw tonnes of wildlife, views were superb. Our guide Stuart was fantastic with our group (different ages) and it was a pleasure to be in his company over the 2 days. We really liked the choice of overnight venue, being Apollo Bay.

We did this as a shore excursion from Melbourne. We had a full day available as we were trasniting via the spirit of tasmania, so we were able to squeeze in a 12 hour tour. This allowed us to cover much more in one day than if we were to have hired a car from the port and self-driven ourselves. Plus it took a lot of stress out of the day.

The Great Ocean Road has been on our bucket list. And after having had our holiday to Australia postponed 5 times and delayed by almost 2 years, we thought, as it was our last place to visit on our 3 week holiday, that we would go all out and book a private tour! It really was truly memorable. The cost for my husband and I wasn't over-excessive (around $800 Australian) and we were delivered an A1 tour. James, who was our driver as well as our guide has lived on the road for a long time, so he knew the history and some of the interesting local stuff. The stress of hiring a car and having to do all that driving in one day - no way hooseeee! Do yourself a favour and do it in style - you won't regret it.

Wonderful experience. The sunset view is phenomenal. One can imagine the crowd pre-pandemic. Try go down to the little cove with the sandy beach. It’s another different experience. The guide is super friendly and informative.

We have just finished a great couple of days in the company of Stuart, who took us on a incredible journey over the 2 days. Never a dull moment. Scenery out of this world. We found stacks of wildlife. Meals were not included but he recommended some absolute gems along the way. And not the kind of ones we would have chosen - more hidden away ones - like a local seafood cafe hidden away down by the harbour front away from the masses of tourists. We would never have found it ourselves.
The highlight on day 1 was the kangaroo tour. The highlight of day 2 was the rainforest walk. In fact, we liked the first walk so much, he found the extra time to take us to a second rainforest. Almost equally as impressive.

Wow. What a road. I had done a small bit of research before I choose to visit this area, I knew the 12 apostles was a must visit, but I wasn’t quite expecting all the bits inbetween. Our guide Michael was just the sweetest man and really looked after my mum (77) and the rest of our group. Always asking if we had everything we needed, well planned toilet stops, thoughtful little touches throughout the day.
I think like most people though, we do wish we had spent longer and opted for a 2 day tour. Time and budget unfortunately did not allow for it. But, we will be back! Hopefully we can pick up from Michael where we left off.

My family took a overnight tour along the great ocean road. It was an unforgettable time along the coast helped somewhat by crystal clear blue skies. We particularly liked the 2 rainforests we visited. Absolutely beautiful.

We took 2 days of sightseeing along the great ocean road in the form of a private tour. One day would have just covered the coast, but with the extra day, we got off the main tourist road and discovered some truly beautiful forest areas. It all seemed hidden, so you really need the extra time, a good map, or in our case, a good tour guide who knows where he was going!

Nothing short of perfection! I own my own tour company in far North Queensland, so I’m a hard one to please and always looking for ways a tour can be improved upon (what can I say, it’s in my DNA), but right from the off, these guys nailed it. Professional, efficient but at the same time fun and friendly. An excellent overall tour experience.
Sam was our guide on Day 1, and was really great with our group, but then due to a family emergency overnight, he had to be replaced by James. We were slightly disappointed to hear about the change of guide, as our group were getting along so well with Sam, but James turned out to be equally as good. And it was a seamless changeover. So much so that when James came to pick us up from our overnight accommodation in Apollo Bay, he had already been tipped off by Sam as to exactly what our preferred coffee order was. James showed up on the doorstep, on time with 4 individual takeaway coffee’s, for each member of our group, and a welcoming smile. He was also briefed of our group’s dynamics, including how to handle one of the more ‘difficult’ members of the group. Spoiler alert - it wasnt me!

We took a tour of the Great Ocean Road with this company, direct from Geelong, as at that time we couldn’t start the tour in Melbourne due to restrictions. The flexibility shown to fit in with our location, dietary requirements and interests was top notch. It was a real boutique experience and we didn’t feel rushed at any time.
We particularly enjoyed the walk through the rainforest and the story behind why it was still standing, that James our guide, described to us.

I understand that accommodation is not included on an overnight 2 day tour. Should we just book our own or can you give us some recommendations?
Hi Curt, Yes you are correct. Our prices do NOT include accommodation or food. However, when you book an overnight tour, we can send you options of where we recommend to book. But you are more than welcome to find your own accommodation. We just ask that you confirm the details with us first, so we can make sure it is on our route! We do normally recommend accommodation in Apollo Bay, as it is the mid-way point of the road, it has some good restaurants for dinner (and breakfast the next day) and you can easily walk from your accommodation to the town AND to the beach.

Hello, I have been on your website, but still not quite sure which one to choose. Can you advise? I’m slightly worried that one day might be too full on and a bit rushed. Help?!
Hi Megan, the 1 Day Tour is very fast paced and is quite rushed. There is just so much to see on The Great Ocean Road so we try our best to squeeze as much as we can into the 1 Day of touring. We allow guests to add an additional hour or 2 on the day itself. However, this is only possible during the summer months, when there is more daylight. Tours during the winter months (April until October) will only be a maximum of 12 hours touring only.
We would recommend the 2 day tour as the best way in which to see the Great Ocean Road, but not everyone has the luxury of 2 whole days.

To answer your question, yes, we offer pick ups from any address in the Southbank, Docklands and CBD (city centre) grid area. On occasions, the scheduled pick up time might be adjusted in line with the pick up location, in order to avoid the large tour groups, as we travel along the road.
