I had booked a 2 night/3 day tour about 6 months prior to my arrival in Australia, but in the upcoming week of the tour, news of the Coronavirus hit. Not sure what to do, I decided to re-book my flight to the States. This meant having to completely amend my tour. They were incredibly flexible (and patient whilst I made up my mind) and I agreed on a 1 day tour instead, so I could get a flight out Australia the next day. I’m so thankful I got to see the road, sure; not everything, but the main bits. I was also thankful to my guide James, who after dropping me off at my hotel, drove all the way back to me in peak hour traffic after he discovered I had left my cell phone in my seat pocket. I would have been lost without my cell, with having to make all those new travel arrangements and all. Thankful is an understatement!

I did the 1 day tour. The great ocean road is an absolute must, but probably more justified to see it over 2 days. I just didn’t quite have the time to be able to do that. I liked the fact that this company specialise specifically for the great ocean road and the guide actually lives on the great ocean road. The week before I had chosen to do a winery tour with a different company, who sell tours to multiple destinations. That was not so good and the guide’s knowledge of the local area was severely lacking. I’ll stick with the destination specialists next time. Much better.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 day tour on the great Ocean Road! James is the perfect guide. Having driven on this route so frequently, he was able to provide little nuggets of information throughout the trip. The stops were so well planned, we did not feel rushed and this is how trip should be like. The vehicle is also clean and new. Highly recommended to anyone who would like to take a tour on the Great Ocean Road.

When you have limited time and don't really know where you're going, taking a tour is a good option. On this tour, you will see the main features of the Great Ocean Road, including the 12 Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge. Both are worth seeing. By the way, the Great Ocean Road is Victoria's top attraction, and it's not far from Melbourne.

Awesome day out with old friends. Our guide James was great. Turned up on time, helped us decide the best places to go to, friendly and attentive throughout. He also helped one of our party who was feeling car sick. He even went and bought her some extra ginger tablets from the pharmacy.

Went on the Great Ocean Road Tour today with our guide, Mark. It was an early morning 1 day trip and well worth it. Mark was very knowledgeable and friendly. We really appreciated the history of each location we visited. He was also very precise and detailed about each stop. We appreciated the coffee/tea and snack provided too! We highly recommend, as the coastline is spectacular!

Really top notch tour with Stuart. Initial (detailed) discussion with James as we were quite particular about what we wanted to see. Everything was ticked off our list, plus some places we weren't expecting but equally as beautiful. Magic tour. Perfect for a couple. Must do.

The Great Ocean Road is really a must visit. We almost dropped it off our list as one of our group wanted to visit a wildlife park instead. But so glad to choose to take a tour down here. The wildlife is great here as well and feels more natural. Our guide James managed to find a koala in the wild. Now that was an experience, which apparently might not be possible in decades to come due to their dwindling numbers. So sad :(

I'm always thrilled when we manage to spot a koala on the tour. It is however sadly becoming harder and harder.
Their numbers are down from 82,000 (2018) to 57,000 (2023) which is a drastic drop, and it is predicted they will become extinct in New South Wales by 2050.
It just goes to show the devastating effect climate change is having on our wildlife in Australia.
I hope your family had a safe trip back to Singapore.

We choose the two day option, which we felt was a good duration to spend on the road. I feel one day is too rushed although some don’t have the luxury of time on their side as there is so much to see and do in Australia. So I’d recommend a 2 day choice over 1 day if you can for this road.

Yes, the two day tour is always the recommend option, but often people don't have the time. You can certainly see the main sights in one day, but it is a prolonged period in the car.
I wish you both a pleasant journey back to Singapore. Please pass on my details to your auntie for her upcoming trip, if she does decide to go for a private tour.

Loved our two day tour. We decided after doing some of our own research, a two day tour was going to be more rewarding and the extra day allows you to see more of the great ocean road. We only had one prerequisite for our tour guide - find us some koalas!!! And boy did he?! We were taken to 3 seperate locations and were lucky to find koalas. Fantastic wildlife and the scenery is just out of this world.

Thank you so much for taking time to review your tour experience.
Yes, we actually live on the great ocean road ourselves, so we know the best spots for koala's. Infact, we often recieve text messages from local residents when they know we are conducting a tour, to keep us up to date on any local local sightings each day.
And the koala's can turn up in the strangest of places sometimes - last week we had a large male wondering along the Apollo Bay's main central shopping strip past all the shops to the absolute amazement of some Japanese tourists!!

I understand that accommodation is not included on an overnight 2 day tour. Should we just book our own or can you give us some recommendations?

Hi Curt, Yes you are correct. Our prices do NOT include accommodation or food. However, when you book an overnight tour, we can send you options of where we recommend to book. But you are more than welcome to find your own accommodation. We just ask that you confirm the details with us first, so we can make sure it is on our route! We do normally recommend accommodation in Apollo Bay, as it is the mid-way point of the road, it has some good restaurants for dinner (and breakfast the next day) and you can easily walk from your accommodation to the town AND to the beach.

Hi Megan, the 1 Day Tour is very fast paced and is quite rushed. There is just so much to see on The Great Ocean Road so we try our best to squeeze as much as we can into the 1 Day of touring. We allow guests to add an additional hour or 2 on the day itself. However, this is only possible during the summer months, when there is more daylight. Tours during the winter months (April until October) will only be a maximum of 12 hours touring only.
We would recommend the 2 day tour as the best way in which to see the Great Ocean Road, but not everyone has the luxury of 2 whole days.

Please feel free to call anytime so we can answer any questions you may have, and further help you personalise your tour.
To answer your question, yes, we offer pick ups from any address in the Southbank, Docklands and CBD (city centre) grid area. On occasions, the scheduled pick up time might be adjusted in line with the pick up location, in order to avoid the large tour groups, as we travel along the road.
