Orlando picked us up at our hotel as planned. We had a friend join us on this tour at the last minute which Hit the Road Tours accommodated at no additional charge. We saw everything we had planned on and more. This reverse tour had us arrive to the 12 Apostles, along with other stops, before crowds. The morning light made for great photo's at the 12 Apostles. Where there were more people Orlando knew the less traveled paths to avoid these visitors. He gave us choices for lunch so we could select our preferences. He knew the locations where we were able to spot koalas and kangaroos in the wild which provided for great photo opportunities. We had a great day and recommend this trip to anyone else wanting to avoid the large bus tours.

What an amazing day with our driver Jack who tried his best in making sure everyone was both comfortable and informed of everything going on. The tour begins very early and finishes 12 hours later.
This is a big day with multiple stops ahead so be prepared. You are guaranteed to see all the major highlights that Great Ocean Road has to offer all in a single day. A little tiring but all worth it.
Given it’s price and I’ve looked around multiple websites for hours, this was the most affordable option and I am glad I chose this one. My main reason for booking this tour was also because of the reviews and if you are reading my review prior to booking or thinking twice before booking with this operator, I say go for it. Since this was the best price I could find and the day was fun-filled with multiple activities, it couldn’t get much better.
Rain, sunshine or anything, it is worth it!

Gui was a superb tour guide with his charming personality and great manners! He provided us with information, fun and adventure throughout the tour. At Port Campbell, he fixed the issue with a flat tyre so quickly that saved our day without interrupting the itinerary. It's worth spending the time and money to enjoy the scenic beauty of nature with such a wonderful guide.

Absolutely enjoyed the tour to the Great ocean Road on 09/02/2021. Our guide Jack was very friendly and informative. The reverse trip was great idea to avoid the crowd and visit the 12 apostles first with bonus stops outside the itinerary. Thank you Jack for the unforgettable memories. Highly recommend "Hit the Road Tours" for anyone who visit Melbourne on holidays.

The trip with Jimmy was awesome! He was very friendly, very informative and professional. He even brought us to more places not stated in the itinerary when we are still early, and took extra effort to help us spot the wild koalas! Even though the weather was cold and rainy, the trio was still very enjoyable. We enjoyed our one-day trip very much.

Twelve apostles was my favorite spot. And Jack was a fantastic tour guide! He was very knowledgeable and entertaining when sharing with us info particular to each stop on our itinerary. He was friendly and very accommodating! He worked very hard to get us to all of the stops on our tour despite the rain. Thank you Jack

We very much enjoyed this tour. The driver Chris was charming and attentive but didn’t talk excessively, letting the scenery speak for itself. It is a long day trip but we had perfect weather and the time flew by.

Despite heavy rains and delays with the ferry (being a public holiday) this trip will be forever our most favourite and memorable one! Our tour guide Rio was amazing, it was like being on a road trio with an old friend. Not only did we experience the amazing island but we also learnt about its history and its future. My husband and I were mostly looking forward to Cylinder beach to just lay back on the sand and just chill out for a couple hours after a very busy few days leading to Christmas and we did get to do that for about an hour before a huge storm cell rolled in. (Gotta love Qld summers 😍) we quickly packed up but the storm beat us and we got drenched! I don't think we laughed harder than that whole walk back to the van with the rain pelting down on us. By the time we got to the Gorge walk the rain had stopped and we were able to go out and just take in the most spectacular views of the ocean and say hi to the local wildlife. We had never been so close to wild kangaroos before. We even saw a couple having a domestic hehe, I thought at first it was two males then I saw the little joey in mummas pouch. The weather cleared up just in time for us to see the sunset at Amity Point, bringing our day trip to the end. I highly recommend Hit the road tours to sample the best that North Stradbroke Island has to offer. It is the best way to go if you have never been before.

My family of 4 (husband, myself and two girls) had a Great Ocean Road reverse itinerary private 12-hour tour and the experience was awesome. Orlando was super helpful with our booking. Our tour guide and driver Jimmy was very knowledgeable, sincere, and professional. Our car was very clean and comfortable. The reverse itinerary was great so we could go straight to the 12 Apostles in the morning to avoid the crowds in the afternoon. Highly recommended!

The tour was so much more interesting than expected! I’ve done lots before, and this was by far the best, all thanks to Dimitry. He was extremely knowledgeable and told us stories about everything we saw on the way - from the days of early settles to the church of the Flying Spaghetti, to the first release of rabbits of Australia. Of course, the views were stunning. I highly recommend this to both groups and solo travelers - well worth the time and the money. And again, big thanks to Dimitry for an unforgettable experience!

When I booked the reverse tour, I inquired about the helicopter ride. I was told it could be done, but it wasn't recommended by the tour operator. I decided not to take the helicopter tour. the sites we saw with Orlando were outstanding. I don't have any regrets not booking the helicopter.

Tour looks fantastic. GOR reverse itinerary with pickup before 7 am...when is the first break (with a bathroom)? Used a different company a number of years ago, way too long to restroom stop LOL. Also, will be traveling in May and in Melbourne for a week...which day of the week is less traveled (but still meets minimum)

First stop is at a service station about an hour into the trip. Regular stops and drivers will accomodate any reasonable request. Enjoy the trip

Hello, we would love to do Philipp Islands (2 pax). Is there a tour available on Jan 2 (it says "yes" on the calendar but "no" if I'd like to book)? If not, when does the tour on January 3 return? Will we still be able to go out for dinner?

We will be there on January 25, 2020 on the Norwegian Jewel cruise line. Is this tour possible? Do you pick up at the cruise terminal? I understand we will be there from 8am to 8pm on that day.

It's was fun with in the trip with our guide, Jack. He is a kind and gentle man, he also makes a lot of jokes to make us happy. He is amazing. He make us understand the history of the ocean. HE IS DA BEST 😂!!!

I am undecided on this tour or the one from Go West (which costs more). Between the two, what are the differences and why should we take the Hit the Road Tour? Also, do you pick up from the Docklands area? We are flying out soon. Thank you.

The van meets you in front of St. Paul.s cathedral only. If you do not have time to waste this is a good tour.

How many days in advance that we'll be informed if the tour is cancelled? As our stay in Melbourne is very short and we don't want to miss the tour at the last minute.
