follows the route of Australia's first steam railway from Sandridge (port melbourne) to flinders station. plenty of historic info along route. you walk/bike one direction and tram it back.

Even in Winter if you choose a sunny day it can be pleasant to walk or cycle along the trail. There are many cafes and pubs along the way to take refreshments or shelter from the changing Melbourne weather.

The Sandridge rail Trail follows the first railway line in Victoria that linked the docks with the city. The railway line is now a tram route (#109), but much of the history remains and can be viewed by walkers and cyclists who follow the route....More
