A group of 8 had John Dyer organise a 2 week tour of WA. He suggested an itinerary which we tweaked and it was fabulous. He chose great guides, a very capable pilot and amazing places to see in outback WA. We visited out of the way places, Kimberley Coastal Camp , Karijini and Dirk Hartog Island all in the comfort of 'our' private jet. John and his team organise everything - accommodation, restaurant bookings where needed, tours and pick up and drop offs. We just sit back and see these amazing places. We couldn't recommend Air Adventure highly enough.

The Lake Eyre trip was memorable- the weather was kind, our pilot Jack was excellent and restored my faith in small planes! Our Tour leader, Jan was wonderful, very efficient and looked after us all very well.
The whole trip was organised to a tee and plan B in Innamincka worked well.
Accommodation was excellent, hospitality especially at the Prairie Hotel, fantastic and the meals very good. It was great to be able to actually gather on the edge of Lake Eyre but I was a little disappointed it didnt have a pink tinge-out of the hands of the organisers of course but we were lucky it had water in it.
Ross Fargher gave us a very informative trip exploring the western Flinders Ranges & we spotted the yellow-footed rock wallabies.
All in all, a super trip and one I would highly recommend to everyone.

We did the Burke and Wills expedition trail and Lake Eyre without all the bull dust and stress of long distance road travel. Our group of 7 intrepid travellers were whisked around in a posh jet-prop aircraft with an experienced pilot. Actually John, our cabin attendant is also an experienced pilot and while they knew all about the tour, their ground support team of Uncle Reg Dodd , John the minstrel, Ross Fargher the Flinders ranges expert and of course Uncle Christian.
We learned that Burke and Wills died not of thirst but malnutrition, walked on the shore of Lake Eyre, were educated about Aboriginal songlines and culture, enjoyed amazing hospitality food and wine and had a most wonderful time.

Air Adventure’s three day air safari was awesome. Viewing the forever changing tapestry landscape of our vast Outback from the air was amazing.
When on land, our accommodation, food and tours were superb.
I would certainly recommend Air Adventure’s small group touring if seeking a friendly, relaxing travel experience.
John’s passion and local knowledge was captivating, pilot Nick kept us safe at all times and Lyndal’s personal attention was much appreciated.
Thank you for a very memorable adventure.

Prairie Hôtel at Parachilna accommodation, hospitality & excursion a first class act.
Reg Dodd, Arabunna country man a delight in Marée. When muddy roads & an inappropriate vehicle prevented planned activities Plan B was implemented. Wet ground prevented landing at NappaMerrie to view the Dig Tree, raging Cooper Creek prevented activities in Innamincka . Poor quality food at Innamincka hotel & disappointingly absolutely no plan B when conditions prevented activities. In conclusion we felt that it wasn’t value for the money spent

Hi Q3528ILjuliec,
Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We were also disappointed that the heavy rainfall prior to your departure prevented a number of the planned activities from taking place.
The first consideration when making any decision is the safety of our passengers - which ruled out landing at the Dig Tree (unsafe) and driving out greasy tracks to Lake Eyre South (high risk of getting stranded).
Unfortunately our Plan B at Innamincka (a drive out to the Cullyamurra Waterhole and Burke's grave) was not possible on this occasion.
I understand your disappointment but know that both our team and local ground operators did their best to provide an educational and enjoyable experience. I both acknowledge and apologise that this didn't meet with your expectation.

This is our 4th air adventure trip and we are totally convinced it is the only way to travel especially to cover Australia’s vast distances quickly.
John and Lyndal are a great team that put together an itinerary personalised to us. Their organisation is second to none. On our ‘own’ private jet the 8 of us experienced outback SA and Queensland. Our experienced and extremely capable pilot Jack flew us 1000s of miles expertly and confidently. Everything is taken care of as we land to be welcomed by a tour bus to either take us on an excursion or transfer us to our hotel. It all works like clockwork obviously due to years of experience and attention to detail. We couldn’t recommend Air adventure highly enough.

We (4 couples) went on a journey specially designed for us, with a guide and pilot and a dedicated plane for 2 weeks. We visited sites in South Australia, the Territory, the Tiwi islands and north Western Australia. It was a truly outstanding trip - great locations and accommodation, everything smoothly organised, our guide was great and he was supplemented by very knowledgeable local guides at each stop. Our pilot's feathertouch landings at remote airstrips were a feature. We had such a good time that we are already organising our next trip

I was so looking forward to this amazing experience seeing so many of Qlds highlights and Air Adventures managed to exceed my incredibly high expectations! Well looked after by our tour leader Mandy and our pilot Nick who went above and beyond to create a wonderful and unforgettable experience for our 8 person tour. How do I single out a highlight from this adventure, would it be the amphitheatre in Carnarvon Gorge? the sunset drinks at Big Red outside Birdsville? flying low over the northern most tip of mainland Australia? The list goes on. This is an awesome way to cover our vast country and I cannot recommend Air Adventure Australia highly enough.

Lake Eyre from the air was breathtaking and even more special walking out onto Lake Eyre South with our hosts Reg Dodd and his son, Fred. Lunch with them on the edge of the lake was most enjoyable. The overnight hotel stays in Innamincka and Parachilna were excellent. Our tour through the western Flinders Ranges with Ross Fargher did not disappoint, with several close sightings of the Yellow Footed Rock Wallabies and the numerous magnificent ancient Gums.
Our tour guide, John and Pilot, Jack were very welcoming and ensured that every aspect of our trip ran smoothly.
Small group touring was appealing to me and so with only 7 travellers on the tour we all had a window seat for each flight leg and were also given an opportunity to sit up front with Jack, our pilot.

Loved the opportunity to visit wonderful outback and Kimberley and Northern Territory locations that we would not otherwise be able to get to. The accommodations varied according to location from basic to luxurious but all hosts and guides were of a very high standard and worked to give us the best experience possible. Wonderful birdlife, great fishing, witnessing station life and spectacular scenery.
