Booked the half day Richmond tour with the Mt Wellington combo. Tour goes from 1.00-4.30pm. Our tour guide was very informative and there was enough time to explore the town. The weather wasn’t the best so there were not a lot of people around, which meant we got to explore the town in peace. Took the obligatory photo of the convict bridge and there is a lovely path to take you to the town. Tour guide recommended the scallop pie from the bakery which we tried and it was nice. Had a lovely coffee and scone at Czegs cafe which had a beautiful interior. Was a lovely way to spend an afternoon.…

This is a highly professional company, and we enjoyed a lovely afternoon tour to Mt Wellington. We had booked our tour, the ‘Mt Wellington Express’ tour via our hotel concierge the evening prior, unaware that he had made a fundamental error on the booking (2021). We arrived for the tour the next morning (our last full day in Hobart), to find that we had no reservation, and that the morning departure was already fully booked. The tour guide handled the situation calmly and professionally. A call to his office located the reservation; we were offered places on the day’s afternoon tour (which was fine with us), and also offered a small discount, refunded to the credit card used, as a kind (but unnecessary) gesture. We really appreciated the thoughtful care we were given. The tour was excellent. The commentary provided by the driver guide was really interesting, and great care was taken on the steep and winding road up the mountain. There was ample time to enjoy the summit and to appreciate the wonderful views. On the way down the mountain, the driver guide added in an unscheduled stop (which is included in the more comprehensive ‘Mt Wellington Ultimate’ tour the company also offers) at ‘The Springs’. Here we were guided through the forest to a lookout spot that afforded great views back up to the summit, and down below to the city nesting in the foothills. Our experience was excellent: the guide was efficient and informative; the small van comportable; and the stop at the coffee shop most pleasant. The guide gave a running commentary all the way to the top of Mt. Wellington which was well done. And the price right. A great value!…
