It's built beautifully, though I have to honestly say that it is not one of the nicest cathedrals in Australia. still...it will do. Carpark is a huge problem, so you might have to walk from some street(s) away, if you really wanna come visit this...More

Another good photo opp for the heritage enthusiast centraly located opposite the Treasury building near Franklin Square and on the way to the waterfront. Can't be compared to any European Cathedreals but not too bad for the old far flung colony of Van Diemans Land.

We couldn't visit inside, so missed out on seeing what other Trip Advisor reviewers had enjoyed. However, we walked around it & wished we could have seen the stained glass at its best with light coming through.

One of the oldest cathedrals in Australia and it is a beautiful example of gothic architecture. The stained glass windows are wonderful on a sunny day

Every city has it's Cathedral and Hobart is no exception. Beautiful architecture and a historic part of Hobart. Well worth a visit.

A long walk from the city with no known public transport. A tough task for 2, 70 year plus seniors. When we arrived the church main part locked so only access to the foyer. No historical pamphlets available. SAD!

A splendid fabric, wonderful proportions. Nearly wrecked interior. Thankfully 'saved' by Archbishop Julian Porteous. Splendid Hanging Calvary group.
