Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Can’t do online movie with food. Event so much easier to do online. I’m a visitor. Join online and downloaded APP
Want to do Gold with food. No food option to deliver to seat available. WTF! Event so easy.

I dunno how to put this into words but WTF I dunno why you’d go to the movies in tassie it’s very poverty pack styles the arcade area is lacking and the claw machines are so rigged cmon guys keep ppl coming back stop loosening the claws n it’s attached to cinemas that are how should I say this fake luxury the food in gold lounge mate I’d rather go hogsbref two minutes down the road then eat here half the menu was unavailable or sold out n watching 3D experience in the VMAX is weird the seats are placed in stupid order j row n k row is middle n centre so if you do t get middle n centre with 3D then you’ll struggle to get the real experience half the cinema is high in the back like your looking down at the screen me n my daughter need prescription glasses so lucky I bought online got row j n the middle n we were good but even one else probly suffered from headaches most movies these days go over 2 hrs n it’s horrible to sit like that for that long I dunno why it feels dodgy in there but it does n the Launceston one ain’t any better either you’d think they would go all out n just really put at least one luxury cinema lucky Melbourne is only 1hr away id save myself to go there for a day to watch a movie or wait til it’s on tv bet they don’t make $$$ like other states

We enjoyed seeing the Jurassic movie today in Gold Class. We got a cheaper ticket with RACT but they slug you with a huge online booking fee (even though we did the work!).

The seat is comfy. The hot chocolate we ordered was a bit cold and small for the price.

Also there are no toilets in the GC area.

So not 5* review sorry!

Came to gold class with the kids to see Peter rabbit 2.

Kids food options are big and probably too much for them - for we took the popcorn home.

Great, friendly staff.

We are normally HOYTS lux visitors but in hobart you only have Village! Went to gold class and it was more like bronze class, yes the chairs were good and it had a good menu and food but they don’t give you a free popcorn and drink (come on it seriously would only cost you 50cents), the servers were rude, and you don’t have your own toilets in gold class! They are lucky that HOYTS isn’t in town otherwise they would be in trouble! My advice if it isn’t something you must see wait for it to come on Netflix!!!

Gold Class is still the best way to see a movie, but it's definitely time to change the menu items. It's starting to feel a bit like eating at McDonalds - same dreary experience.

I like Premium with plenty of room large cinema, nice seats and big screen BUT forget about the food experience and the food concept is a 1 out of 5. Food to your chair is an extra charge and only through an app. The time selection for delivery for our 8.30 session of 2 hrs was between 8 to 8.45 bad luck if you want it at 9.30pm. The cost of the food and the item received well what can I say. We specifically went to eat and ordered the hot dog as one item. Unfortunately the lovely attendant came to us to advise they did not have buns. Like ordering a coke without the coke just the soda. Can it be that hard. So you don't get what is advertised and promoted. Looks like Gold class is your best bet at a premium price.

Almost the worst movie popcorn I’ve ever had - too salty to finish - tasted toasted from sitting under a heater. Slow service under a time-crunch the movie was starting and everyone was slooooooooow. Screen is very far away from the seats in upstairs theatre so if you book online sit close
