I took my visiting English friend here for a relaxing Sunday morning. To my delight, there were local choirs like Sing Australia, giving performances outside Mathers Place. They had enchanted me at the Festival of Voices in July, so I sat in the shade and...More

A fabulous range of fresh, orgainic, and interesting foods. I bought some top quality Manuka honey for a very reasonable price.

This is a produce market set near the CBD rather than the general markets at Salamanca. It has more of a local vibe with plenty of local residents buying their bits and pieces and sharing a story. There were lots of quality of stalls to...More

This is a favourite for fresh potatoes, vegies, mushrooms etc. As a local though, I never really spend much time here - there is not much change in traders so the market is very predictable. But as a quick interlude on a Sunday morning it's...More

The place to go in Hobart to experience the real taste of Tasmania. Great vibe. Many and varied food options to eat/drink there or prepare at home. Where else could you buy vegan yoghurt, fresh pork and genuine manuka honey!

Staying in Hobart for the weekend and had a look at the markets before heading home, very good selection of produce with some very appealing breakfast option to eat while looking

It’s a small market with lots of farm produce and interesting cooked and baked products. Visit it if you have some free time and it’s walking distance from where you are staying but don’t put it down as a ‘must do’ when in Hobart.
