Within easy walking distance most of the fine eating and shopping places in Hobart can be found, including an excellent market, scietific exhibits and numerous tour guides and facilities.

We took bikes (complementary loan from the Grand Chancellor Hotel for guests) and rode the Sculpture trail. This trail is marked with numbers that provide fascinating insights into a variety of stories of Hobart's history and REALLY worth doing either by bike or by foot....More

This precinct is one of the best, if not the best, preserved heritage areas in Australia. The houses are cute, desirable, authentic and charming. Just inspiring.

We took a walk up to battery point from the market, there was a couple of places to eat and drink and some old buildings with history plaques on them. Also some great views.

Battery Point is a historic neighborhood of Hobart. Once the core of crime-ridden Van Diemen's Land, it is now a nice residential area full of lovely cottages. Although there is no particular point of interest, a stroll around is very pleasurable.

Enjoy a quiet stroll around the gorgeous homes in this old part of Hobart. We were lucky enough to be invited into one home so that its proud owners could show us how they have maintained and enhanced the original features in the building.

We went for a visit in this nice area where you can find the typical little cottage of the eighteenth century. It's really nice and if you want to have fun please go to Arthur Circus and play in the little garden.

A really nice wander through historic streets, with interesting houses and cottages. Cute shops and galleries - collectables and retro stuff - as well as local yummy food.

This whole location was impressive. Many of the old buildings are in need of some TLC but all in all the whole area has been maintained to a high standard and is very people friendly!

We thoroughly enjoyed strolling around this old suburb of Hobart. We discovered some very interesting facts... Errol Flynn was born here, for example! The old architecture is charmingly attractive. It is quite hilly in places so be prepared for that.
