Hobart was barely open for the recent public holiday so we went to the State Cinema for afternoon coffee. The staff were really friendly, coffee superb, cakes delicious. The lunches looked really appetising as well. Definitely put this on your list in North Hobart.

I simply love going to this cinema as there is such a relaxed vibe. Small intimate cinemas with comfy sofas, enjoy a glass of wine with your movie and afterward be sure to check out the bookshop.

Lovely experience. Interesting movies, historic but comfortable building, appropriate food selection, and even a nice glass of vino. What better way to spend a cold afternoon. My only concern is the high ticket prices. As someone from the north of Tasmania I was quite shocked...More
