This tour was fabulous for many reasons the beauty of the wilderness, the guides who made every effort to ensure our experience was the best it could be with weather conditions, the mountain climbs, the small group size, the food, seeing orange-bellied parrots, beautiful campsites and so much more.
The information and communication was spot on.
My original trip was postponed by a day and then canceled the next after flying down and being unable to land. Roaring 40s were so generous to our group considering the weather was out of their control, offering a free guided kayaking tour to Cape Hauy on the Tasman Peninsula and a full refund or the ability to rebook another trip. Exceptional.

Excellent paddling in Fortesque Bay with Roaring 40s. Guides Damian and Maron (sorry I’m not 100% sure of the spelling) were professional, attentive and friendly throughout the day to ensure we all had a good experience. Kayaks are suitable for the conditions and they also provided all the necessary safety gear as well as some outer layer clothing in case paddlers needed it. We have paddled with Roaring 40s on multi day trips previously and jumped at the chance to paddle this with the company again and in such a stunning part of the Tasman Penisula. Thanks again for a great day out on the water.

Fantastic and a memorable kayaking day. Damian our guide is friendly and Knowledgeable as he guides us through and also gave us tips on how to paddle better and took us between cliffs to do a 180degree turn
Within five minutes of launching, a few dolphins were swimming around us ..
The cliffs are magical
Thank you for an awesome day
Very grateful

Have just had a spectacular time on the Flinders island trip with a group of friends. The island is a treasure of wild coastline, creatures and history. The paddling was wonderful but the walks and visit to the museum and Wybalenna were also memorable. Our guides Rob and Kevin were warm, knowledgeable, patient and very funny.
I’d highly recommend the Flinders trip and Roaring 40’s in general, we’ll be back for more.

We have just had a fabulous 4 day kayaking tour of the Tasman Peninsula with Roaing 40”s guides Mads and Kane.
The scenery, the wildlife and the paddling were awesome.
From food, to transport and poor weather options, the organisation was good .
It is such a spectacular part of the world and the whole experience was exceptional.
In particular the knowledge, professionalism and friendliness of the guides was outstanding.
I cannot recommend Roaring 40’s tours too highly. That was my 3rd tour and I will be signing up again!

The Roaring Forties Kayaking trip of Flinders Island is fantastic and highly recommended. The island itself is scenically beautiful, the accommodation is picture perfect (and right on the beach), the food excellent as well as healthy and on our trip there was a great mix of time on the water and exploring on foot. The paddling was challenging at times but always tremendous fun, with our guides making safety a priority, and giving careful attention to weather, wind and tides. Speaking of our guides, what gems Tom and Rob are. Great fun, amazing attention to detail, very knowledgeable, lovely sense of humour and just all round wonderful human beings.

My Kayak Pool rescue session for Fri 8 Mar 24 and Flatware Kayak Sea Skills session for Sat 09 Mar 24 was cancelled by Roaring Forties due to instructor non availability. Disappointing but fair enough. I was offered a place on sessions in April but due to being interstate, these dates don't work for me. According to the refund policy, if the sessions were cancelled y Roaring Forties (As they were), I am entitled to a full refund. I emailed Roaring Forties over one week ago requesting a refund but, to date, they have not even bothered to reply to my email, let alone process my refund. Very un professional and lazy.

Have just completed the Roaring 40’s Flinders Island 7 day Kayak trip.
What a fantastic experience in every way.

Biggest shout out to our guides Kevin and Rob. They were the best! Full of knowledge about local marine life, geology and the island itself and happy to be asked anything.
And we felt so safe and well looked after with clear daily explanations of the following day’s adventures on the water or land-based as weather allowed. Plus great tuition both before and on the water in regards to the necessary kayaking skills. .

Have to describe the peaceful Sawyers Huts which were our week’s accomodation -overlooking the bay with small wallabies grazing nearby and fairy wrens hopping about. And we were fed constantly and so very well!

Totally recommend this trip and company .

I have done 3 different multi day kayak trips with Roaring 40s. All of the trips have been wonderful. The professionalism of the guides and the organisation made me feel safe. The most recent trip to Tasman Peninsula was spectacular and I felt welcome and one of the team as a solo traveller. Special mention to my guides- Micha and Josh (SW) Tom and Kevin (Flinders) Tory and Mads (Tasman peninsula)
