Step inside Australia's oldest operating brewery, nestled at the foot of the majestic Mount Wellington, to learn how Cascade has been crafting beer since 1832. Our guides will share Cascade's fabled recipe; a dash of history, a healthy dose of Tasmania's finest ingredients and a generous serve of brewing craft. You can take a tour or just relax and enjoy Cascade beers and Mercury ciders, savour a delicious lunch and wander our three acres of heritage gardens.

The Visitor Centre is open 7 days a week between 10am - 5pm, excluding Good Friday and Christmas day and tours operate daily.

I had the good fortune to attend the Visitors Centre at Cascade Brewery on Saturday, April 16th, 2016 for a wedding ceremony followed by the reception. The grounds in which the ceremony was performed were perfect, the reflection pools and the magnificent autumn tree setting sensational. More delightful were the many and varied staff who attended to our needs and... More

We stopped here for lunch, the food was excellent! There is a lovely outdoor area to sit and eat too. We managed to participate in the beer pouring competition while we were there which was great fun. Didn't go on a tour this time - but will add that to our next visit!

Learned how beer is made and a bit of Tasmanian history. Beautiful old buildings. Finish with a taste of the local produce in the bar. Ciders, beers, the lot.

A typical brewery tour focusing on the history and beer making process. Groups sizes are quite large and seeing production in action isn't guaranteed (we didn't see any bottling). Samples at end were generous and plentiful.

This is hands down one of the most beautiful buildings I saw in Tassie and the way it creeps up on you as you drive around the corner is wonderful. The tour was quite good, we got to go into the brewery and see all the different stages of the beer coming to life. I don't actually like beer but... More

We missed the tour into brewery! Do check out the timing of their guided tour into brewery! However you can try out different kind of beer in their restaurant

Tour takes one and half hours, groups of eight. Guide was excellent explaining history of brewery, changes of the years and tour of manufacturing facilities with drink samples afterwards. Well worth a visit.
