Step inside Australia's oldest operating brewery, nestled at the foot of the majestic Mount Wellington, to learn how Cascade has been crafting beer since 1832. Our guides will share Cascade's fabled recipe; a dash of history, a healthy dose of Tasmania's finest ingredients and a generous serve of brewing craft. You can take a tour or just relax and enjoy Cascade beers and Mercury ciders, savour a delicious lunch and wander our three acres of heritage gardens. The Visitor Centre is open 7 days a week between 10am - 5pm, excluding Good Friday and Christmas day and tours operate daily.

I'm more into history than beer, so was delighted to have some significant history pointed out. I was amused at the phantom window in the front façade.

Worth a look. The tour was interesting. You get 3 tokens at the end that let you try 3 different beers (7oz) In the middle of the day, we only used 1 each & swapped the others for soft drinks.

We didn't bother with the tour of the brewery - it really didn't interest us. But it is still definitely worth a visit to see the outside of the brewery - its quite majestic with Mount Wellington in the background. The restaurant across the road...More

Took our elderly dad here for father's day and he loved it! Great tour, loads of beer samples and pizza at the end. Beautiful gardens and a great day out with the old man!

It would be no problem to use the tokens with lunch as it is basically all the same area. It is a very nice space looking out onto the stunning gardens so I am sure you will enjoy it!
