This trip was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Rela, Alayne, and Mitch were such good and competent guides. Over 8 days they showed us the beauty of the Franklin River and its wilderness, teaching us about the history, culture, and wildlife. I was impressed by their skills in group leadership as they helped bring our entire group of strangers together into friends over the trip. The guides also professionally and successfully managed each individual’s needs and personalities. The guides made space for each person to be more or less involved with the difficult aspects of the trip — challenge by choice — based on comfort and ability levels. This trip was so well run and organized, and I would recommend Franklin River Rafting for anyone, regardless of previous experience, who is interested in experiencing the beauty of this land.

With 7 family/friends and a group of 4 guests from NQ, we just spent 8 days rafting down the breathtaking Franklin River. What an awesome experience! I highly recommend Elias and the Franklin River Rafting crew of Mitch, Grace and Jarryd who expertly looked after us and guided us down the Franklin. Their competence and care for us was first class. While it is a wild river, we always felt secure and confident of our guides ability and judgement. Not only can they guide but they can cook - they fed us like kings and queens, and were all personable, engaging and fun.
It’s hard to find the right words to do justice to the 8 days we spent on the Franklin. The sheer beauty of the river and its surrounding forests, sheer ravines and majestic mountains remind you this truly is a wild place. There are few adventures you can go on these days, with no prior experience, and be so immersed in the middle of wilderness. Not only that but we had a ball, laughed, looked in awe, learnt and absorbed the beauty of the place. Thanks Elias, Mitch, Grace and Jarryd. You and the Franklin are awesome!

What an amazing trip. Words can't really describe The Franklin River and surrounding area - it really needs to be experienced.
Booking with Franklin River Rafting was the best move we made. Elias and his team of guides - Jared, Mitch and Grace are the friendliest, most knowledgeable and competent people you would want to spend 8 days with. Each of them went out of their way to make the trip such a memorable experience and nothing was ever too much trouble.
How they all manage to cook such awesome meals is beyond me. Every meal was varied and delicious - we even had a perfect steak cooked in their camp kitchen! No mean feat when you're cooking for 15 people on a river bank! Each morning we would always have something different - from Canadian porridge to a cooked brekkie!
When the rafts needed to be guided round a big rapid - they would leave us safely on the rocks with a bag of goodies to keep up occupied.
It was an amazing experience and on day 8 it felt quite sad that it was over. Would definitely recommend experiencing this faultless trip with Franklin River Rafting..

I have never been compelled to write a review until now, this trip was life changing for my friends and I, who rafted down the Franklin in October with Elias, Shaun & Alayne. As a trip that had been in discussion for many many years, expectations had been significantly built over that time and they were well and truly exceeded.
The food was great and the camping comfortable even in some brutal SW Tassie weather, a lot of care and thought had been put into making sure we had a great time.
We also learnt a lot about the River, its trials & tribulations along the way to make it feel even more special
If you are considering this trip, don't even pause to think about it book with this company and have a truly amazing, once in a lifetime experience.

Best trip ever
Franklin river rafting company, hands down best experience would not go with anyone else
Safety was paramount but was mixed with the right amount of adrenaline, fun, super challenging rafting and outdoor camping under the Tassie stars. Made possible by Elias and his guides Shaun and Ellaine.
Food was epic all prepared by the guides
All bases covered

We spent 8 days on an epic adventure rafting down the Franklin River. From the moment we began our journey, we entered a wilderness with no sign of another person until the last day of our journey. Our guides Elias, Mitch, Grace and Jared were excellent. Their experience levels meant they had thorough knowledge on the river at different heights and excellent communication skills, so everyone knew what was going on and why decisions were made. There was a range of different age groups on the tour and the guides handled all scenarios like professionals. The equipment provided was in top condition. All meals were varied, tasty and satisfying - we all looked forward to mealtimes and there was plenty of food! To the Franklin River Rafting Team, I say keep it up guys, you are doing an amazing job.

This was the trip of a lifetime. The beauty of the Franklin is indescribable. Elias, Alayne, and Sean were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Their knowledge and stories of the river added great depth to the experience. The hit the right balance between safety and excitement. The catering was superb and plentiful. The camping was spectacular. Thank you to the Wilderness Society for saving this incredible river. Thank you Franklin River Rafting for an unforgettable time

We had the trip of a lifetime.
The Franklin River is something that has to be seen to be believed. Eight days deep in the World Heritage wilderness, no phone reception or emails. Just time to talk and reconnect with friends and untouched nature.
Elias and team from Franklin River Rafting (FRR) made it for us. They worked tirelessly to keep us safe and comfortable in one of Australia's harshest environments.
Indredible food, equipment and discussions about the river and the efforts made to protect it.
We can't thank them enough. We will be back when the kids are older and we can bring them, with Elias to guide us.
