Nice, gentle walk from Fern Tree Tavern to the Silver Falls. Great for families with small kids. You can see the old pipeline exposed in places along the track. Plenty of birds around on the day I went.

The habitat here is quite good for birds and the track reasonably flat, only went as far as the farm then returned. Saw Crescent Honeyeaters, Scarlet Robin, Golden Whistlers and a thornbill, but there was others. Good outlook to Mt Wellington and Hobart from the...More
