Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Definitely put this tour on your Hobart to-do list! Great tour with just the right mix of history and today's Hobart brought together by a very enthusiastic guide. He clearly loves his home town and it comes though with his very entertaining story telling. We've done these tours all over Europe and this tour is up there with the best.

My guide was delightful. His knowledge of Tasmania and Hobart was excellent and I really enjoyed the tour. I throughly recommend this experience and always make an effort to seek out free walking tours in cities that I visit.

I did the Hobart free walking tour today and had a great experience. The tour guide is quite knowledgeable and a great story teller, so I found myself quite interested in all the descriptions of the places he explained. He also gave good recommendations of local places to eat at, and go to visit. I learnt alot and had a good time on the tour. Would recommend.

We had Bonny as our guide and she did an amazing job passionately showing us around her city. We learned a great deal about the very colourful history of Hobart, and were able to scope out a number of places that we could return to after the tour for dining and shopping. We have done these all over the world and this was amongst the best we have done. We would highly recommend this to anyone with 3 hours of time in Hobart as a great way to be introduced to the many vibrant layers of this beautiful city.

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed it and Lily our guide was great and went the extra mile to have a conversation with everyone on the way around. She recommended the Scallop pie at Jackman + McRoss which my girlfriend just had and really enjoyed.

We met the amazing Miss Emma in St David's park and she took my husband and myself on a very interesting walking tour of the area. She was full of information and colorful stories of Hobart's Past. We especially loved the story of Buckley's and have retold it many times already. If you have the time do this tour. Thank you Emma for a great morning.

I stayed at a hotel near the cruise terminal & it was a 15-20 min easy walk
I am trying to find out when the tour is running and every time I try to go to the website I get a error 404 message. Can someone please tell me what time of day the tour runs?

Hi. We parked in the Argyle St multi storey carpark where Woolies is. It is huge and the only place we found with space. I think it was about $6 all day to park. There are sone free carparks and there may be room in those this time of year.
