Risdon Cove is (i) where first settlement (albeit brief) for Hobart was - then it was moved. There is a monument to this. There is also (if you walk up the hill along the path), markers where some of the soldiers huts were from that time (at least, I think that is what it is as there is no explanation).... More

This place was hard to find being unsigned until you have driven past the gate. So much could be made of this and isn't. The heritage of the significance of the site as the first landing point of the British in Van Dieman's Land is being neglected. Understandably, as the aboriginal owners of this land seem intent on erasing this... More

School and centre is new and nice and historical place... More

It's an interesting place to see. Lovely to be there when the children were inside enjoying school. We gained permission and were happily allowed to have our picnic lunch among the trees. Everyone was very friendly.
