We wanted to see snow so while in Tasmania so we decided Ben Lomond was our best option. There is a long winding road where you eventually need to park and switch to a privately operated 4WD to take you to the top of the...More

Just missed out on the ski season, so instead we went hiking west of the ski field and came across and old alpine lodge and saw plenty of wallabies and 3 wombats!

Staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly! If you dont have a car acceptable to take up the mountain they pick you up and take you back down for a small cost. The ski fields arent massive but they are still huge and covered in snow....More

This is a great little spot on Launceston's doorstep. It was great place for our daughter to experience snow for the first time. There certainly wasn't a lot of it and it was pretty hard rather than powdery but we had fun all the same....More

If you've ever been to a 'real' snow resort then you'll probably be disappointed here. Don't get me wrong, it's not terrible, but bear in mind that the snow is more thin ice, but if like us you used the day to show your kids...More

Boomla
Looked at lots of websites including the parks and wildlife but confused about the prices. I just want to know how much it costs for one person to go into Ben Lomond for 1 day.

The only cost is the $50 fee to take the "official" jeep up to the mountain. Once you're there, you can play in the snow and you won't be charged. However I'm sure they charge a lift pass fee but not sure how much it is.
