Our family thoroughly enjoyed Ranger Mick's tour of Cape Borda lighthouse. We enjoyed Mick's good humour and nautical insights as we explored the museum display and lighthouse interior. We left we a much better understanding of nautical navigation too. Appreciated the coastal walk advice too....More

A squat square lighthouse that is still in use. Beautifully maintained and the tour with the ranger is worth the trip out on the dusty red road. Wildlife abounds, particularly early mornng or towards the end of the day: echidnas, wedgetail eagles and more.

The national parks ranger was fantastic...providing great insight into how sailors navigated in the "old days". He had a real passion for this unique lighthouse. Be sure to go to the 12.30 tour for the cannon fire...and when he says it's loud, that's an understatement!

The road was quite rough but we're glad we went. You get to go in the lighthouse & up a few stairs but you don't get a view from inside the lighthouse as the view is the same level as the workings of the lighthouse....More

A very rough road lead us to Cape Borda Lighthouse for a knowledgeable guided tour of this very interesting square lighthouse and museum. A bonus was time spent watching all the native birds coming in for a bath and drink at the birdbath

Drove all the way out to find it closed, so we took the walking track down to see the breathtaking views anyway. Such a beautiful lighthouse. Stop by the light keepers cemetery on the way to see the history. We ever saw kangaroos and lizards...More

We went to the 12.30 tour as it involves the canon firing. Very remote location but well worth the trip. Our kids loved looking around and of course the canon.

We had to abort tour as the road was really bad. It does not have pot holes. The road is not sealed. It is very bumpy. Difficult with kids.

Walk to the cliff top lookout, but be careful along the uneven calcite pathway. Treat yourself to an ice cream at the lighthouse kiosk.

We have to mention the Ranger here, a really genuine and informative man who does everthing himself and still finds time to make folks feel welcome. The SA parks people are lucky to have someone like this on board. Our compliments. This is a great...More
