It was hot, it was a blast. Our Guide Sam is the Steve Irwin of Quad Bike Guides. After a quick check on if we could control the bike we headed off into the bush. Sam stopped several time and with enthusiasm told us about the area, the fires, the wildlife and the future after the fires. The bikes were up to date bikes not all worn out. We forgot our long pants but were suited up with some cool looking gear. Even in the high heat we laughed and smiled even though you can’t see them in the full face helmets. Sam was more than happy to take as many pictures with our phones that we wanted all while keeping us safe.

After chatting with a team member over the phone who took time to explain all our options we elected to go for the Family Adventure Package which included Kayaking, Quad Bikes and Sandboarding at little Sahara.
Massive shout out to Charlie who happened to be involved with all our activities and was only too happy to be involved with out activities.
The sandboarding / toboganing is a pretty simple process of grab your gear and go and super fun!
When we turned up for our Kayak hire, Charlie had our Kayaks ready to go at the launch spot, fitted us with jackets and gave directions and advised us of landmarks along the river. This meant we knew how far we travelled and had no problems navigating the various forks in the river. The gear was comfy, functional and in good condition.
But where Charlie really went a step above was on the family Quad bike tour.
He worked so well with our kids (7/9) teaching them the basics of using the bikes and prepared them perfectly for the tour which was great fun.
Thank you to Charlie and the team at KI Outdoor Action for helping to make our trip to KI super memorable.

We spent an afternoon at Little Sahara. We hired 3 Toboggans between our group with 7 kids aged between 9 and 16. The views of the sand dunes are absolutely spectacular. Walking up the second sand dune is challenging depending on your fitness but the kids just powered up them! A lot of fun

My 13 year old daughter and I went on the quad bike tour on Sunday 26th January 2020. James and Sonia were great and explained all the safety tips and what would be happening for the tour really well. We spent 10 minutes practicing on the small track then headed out into the bush track. We seen lots of areas where the fires had burned the vegetation but it was such a good time, James took as to a few areas where we spotted Koalas and Goannas and he explained a lot about how the bush would recover in time. Its safe guys everyone must go and experience a quad bike tour so much fun Thanks James. See you next time we are over. #bookthemout.

We purchased the 'All Terrain Package' which included a 2 hour Quad Bike Adventure plus unlimited use of boards at Little Sahara. The quad biking was amazing, and just enough time to enjoy it all without getting too sore or tired! We had Charlie as our guide and he was absolutely fantastic; so knowledgeable in not only quads, but the environment and history of Kangaroo Island too! He took us along tracks that we were all comfortable with, but gave us a thrill and a challenge at the same time. We would 100% recommend doing this; it's an experience you don't want to miss out on! Thanks :)

The (basic) quad bike adventure takes you round a loop in the property on different terrains (gravel, sand, small rocks) but nothing too tricky and it's mostly flat. Also you get to practise riding the bike in a practice track until you feel comfortable venturing out. Would recommend trying it out as a couple or family and ride around to enjoy some scenery at a relaxing pace. Probably a bit dull for people looking for more adrenaline action.

My partner & I did the 2 hour quad bike adventure, and it was the most fun we’ve had doing an outdoor activity ever!
Our guide Lee was great in instructing our group on the basics of riding the quad bikes, then leading our group on different trail rides as we gained experience & confidence.
The day exceeded all expectations, I couldn’t recommend this activity highly enough to anybody thinking about doing it.
5 stars is under selling it

Fabulous 2 hour ride. It was a bit overcast so didn’t get to see much of the sunset but we still had a chance to enjoy the scenery and wildlife. The track was easy to ride on with a few tricky bits here and there but nothing that wasn’t achievable. Charlie was a great tour guide, made us feel comfortable and safe on the bikes, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kangaroo Island!

Our group of five had a blast on the Fatbikes at Little Sahara with Dani as the guide. Before tackling the dunes we did a ride on the bush trails where Dani pointed out wild koalas, and found some bush tucker for us to try. Our riders ranged in speed, but Dani kept us together without it feeling like we were waiting or missing out. Then we tackled the dunes, the electric bike really helped climbing the dunes. The ride down was thrilling.

We booked the quad tour for our family of 4 (14/16 kids) and highly recommend this activity, from the moment we arrived we were greeted in a friendly manner and it continued to the end. Our safety instructions and test track was a great way to understand how the bikes operated and the set us up for the tour perfectly, none of us had ridden a quad bike previously.
Speaking of the tour, the grounds have a bit of everything and I dont wish to spoil it but you wont be disappointed, our tour operator Locke was top notch and very informative, we stopped several times to regroup as Locke then shared his knowledge of the local area and wildlife, nothing was too much trouble. We were very lucky to see Koala's and Kangaroos on our tour and in a negative positive, the regrowth of the fires gave the tour some character.
