Just had a delightful holiday on Kangaroo Island, staying in Baudin Beach, accommodation was great clean new, peaceful, loads of bird life. small cove close by for a quick dip.would go back

Baudin Beach used to be known as American Beach but has now been named after the French Captain Baudin who visited K.I. in 1803 and left his mark on the Island. It's only a small beach accessed by several timber steps down to the West of the new boat ramp. A pleasant enough spot to while away the time or enjoy a bracing swim !

When we arrived at our apartment, we went for a walk and found the Baudin Beach.
There were pelicans on the ocean. They were so pretty and friendly.
We enjoyed admiring the beach, the ocean and the sunset. Wow! It was gorgeous.
We walked all the way of that beach and we enjoyed it.
This is truly worthwhile to see!

I'm still rather confused about Baudin Beach. People spoke positively about it but all we could find was a boat ramp and some very shallow rock filled water. Did we just miss a good swimming beach?
