Fantastic forest walk - lots of koala, kangaroo and other wildlife
Great koala experience; our guide Sofia took us through the forest around the dunes to show us the local ecosystem, different plants and trees and she taught us a lot about KI. We saw a lot of koala’s in the trees, some had cubs as well. Sofia learned us nice facts about edible plants, the brackish river water and the history of the area. While walking, we saw a kangaroo crossing just a few meters in front of us. This was a fantastic excursion, easy, no hurry, plenty of time to enjoy nature and a great guide!

Candice made the experience 10/10 on the buggy ride with children
Candice our buggy tour driver was very friendly and pleasant. She explained things very well and managed to grab the kids interest from our 4yo, 11, 12, and 13yo children. Ask for Candice and you won’t be disappointed!

We went on the 1hr dune figgy tour with our family, including 2 young children. Our tour guide, Dani, was great with our children and was very knowledgeable about the local area and wildlife. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting the island. Thanks Dani!

Went on a bike tour with dani. She is super lovely and had a great time trying the bush tukka. Defiantly recommend this tour to anyone that is interested in seeing koalas and trying new things. The sand dunes are also very fun!

Sand dunes on KI. They were bigger than I expected and very light in colour. The sand is soft and feels great on bare feet. The dunes are not too high and are manageable to climb- wouldnt want to do it on a hot day though! There are a variety of activities you can do- for a price, or just enjoy the dunes and scenery.

We went on a 2 hours buggy tour in the Little Sahara area in the bush and sand dunes. Lauchy was our tour guide. He was exceptionally good and very accommodating. Handled my 4 year old son very well. There was initial hassle in getting my son to wear the safety gears but Lauchy was patient in getting it done and also provides us with quite a number of options.

The area was amazing and we could spot a koala and 2 kangaroos in the wild.

We had a fat bike tour in October 2022. Unfortunately, weather was not great, but the tour was not canceled. Riding on the sand is very hard, so if you not that fit - I would recommend to rent e-bike. Tour was great, we saw a lot of koalas.

We booked in for tobogganing for 3 people for 1 hour and 1 hour complimentary. Family of 4 sharing 3 boards, warm day thought this would be great fun but we thought wrong!! This is a good activity if you are a masochist!!. It felt like boot camp carrying the heavy sand board up and down the dunes, I managed 3 slides and I had enough! No thanks looks fun but the reality is far from it!!!

We only went the for a short walk, and we're really impressed by the white sand and the size of the dunes. It really is unique and it is worth your time. If you don't want to do any boarding, 30mins is just fine for visiting and seeing everything around there. If you stay longer, good luck... Also bring plenty of water!

Best thing we have done on KI so far.

We did the 2 hour buggy tour yesterday with our guide James who was awesome. As part of the tour he shows you a lot of the wildlife and explains the history of current situation which was very informative and entertaining. In the later part of the tour he gets out onto the sand and opens the buggy up so it was a lot of fun.

James definitely deserves a pay rise for how good a guide he was!
