An Underground church named after the Catacombs in Rome. A place of serenity where week by week we tell others the great news that Jesus still forgives sin for those who seek him.

The tour is free and a lovely lady showed us around Worth a visit to see how they drilled out the hole and how it functions as a church You get a sense of how many underground houses still exist in the town

We really enjoyed seeing this underground church. We went in the evening after dinner and there was no one else there. The rocks that the walls are made from are pretty interesting in and of themselves. Entry is free, though we made a small donation.

Small underground cave- church. No entry fees. Nice for a quick stop. Open for everyone. Worth going there.

Free entry and very interesting underground church. There was no one around there seemed to be a beautiful element of trust.

Spend some time inside, perhaps not the most ornate of churches, it will give you the feel of being underground

We saw this Underground Church as part of a tour of Coober Pedy. Fascinating place, although not very large. There was another tour group there at the same time which made things a bit cramped. It was still good to see.

Worth the visit !!! Music plays during your stay so there is no oppressed feeling while in the cave.

Forget the religious aspect, go and have a look even if your not religious simply because you are there and get a feel for how the locals live, work & worship in this part of the country underground.

We enjoyed our visit to the Catacomb Church at Coober Pedy. I have visited Grand Cathedrals in Europe and the Christal Cathedral in the US and that's fine but I love the simplicity of the Catacomb Church. Although I wasn't able to attend a service...More

This is a very simple church, nothing fancy like stained glass or big statues, compared to other churches in the area.

How about you advise them yourself. I only go to church when someone dies or gets married. Thank you
