We enjoyed a guided tour with one of the mine owners. We got to try the divining rods, the miners hoist, watched ammo ie on how they used to blast and saw opal in the rocks. Very authentic mine.

No but you can pick through the tailings its a bit of fun take home some slivers of opal. Its fun and interesting.
