Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this tour. It was overflowing with local knowledge and information. My partner and I had such a great time and really saw so many sides to Adelaide that we didn't know existed! Would definitely recommend.

Good tour to provide a basic look at McLaren Vale wineries. We went on the Barossa valley all day tour 2 days prior & having the half day option for McLaren Vale was good. Obviously we didn't cover as much, & having to start by a pickup in Hahndorf ate a little in to the time for this tour as we had already been to Hahndorf. If you hadn't been to Hahndorf then it gave a quick look driving part way down the main street. This was also the 40° day, but didn't affect the tour 👍.
We enjoyed both wineries (Haselgrove gave an informative tasting - it would have been good to know ahead of time that we could purchase a cheese platter to go with the tasting, we had lunch before starting the tour; Chapel Hill had a lovely ambience for it's tasting).
Preferred the Barossa tour, but the McLaren Vale was also good.

A must do for anyone coming to South Australia! The first half of the day was spent around the city and surrounding areas. Craig was so informative and made the tour both fun and educational, you could see how much he loved Adelaide! We visited the charming town of Hahndorf and spent a couple of hours there at our leisure. The tour gave the perfect amount of time to stroll around at our own pace and enjoy lunch. Then in the afternoon we visited two lovely vineyards in stunning locations! All the wines were amazing and gave us such a unique insight to the wine of McLaren Vale. Christine was also very helpful with our booking and making sure we booked into what tour was best for us. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back again!!!

I organised the half day trip for my cousin who is legally blind but does have some sight. On his return he was extremely impressed and happy on how he was treated and the overall experience of the journey.

The guide was very fun, talkative, and informative, which lightened the mood and got the group talking to each other. Both wineries we went to were nice, the woman running the first one was also very outgoing and was fun to talk to. The second winery was good and informative. Our guide drove us through Glenelg on the way back and offered to drop us off there for the evening if we wanted. Overall the value was worth it and I was happy the tasting fees were included with the ticket price.

From start to finish this was an excellent trip. Chris pointed out lots of sights around Adelaide with added historic info. We enjoyed lofty summit, the cube and the 2 wine tastings were fab.

If you’re short for time, this is a wonderful taster of the McLaren Vale. Our host James was exceptional. Very knowledgeable and fun. Haselgrove & Chapel hill gave us a warm welcome and some lovely tastings. We even popped in to D’Arenberg to see some of the Salvador Dali sculptures. Topped off with a wee visit to Glen Elg. Highly recommended

Craig runs a great small group tour. We got to see the highlights of Adelaide city, then a short drive up to Mt Lofty for a view of the city from the highest point of the Adelaide hills. Plenty of time at Hahndorf German village for shopping and lunch. Such a quaint little town! Then off to a couple of wineries for a guided tasting of their offerings. We finished up in Glenelg and left the tour to explore this beachside area and have a delicious dinner at one of the many local restaurants. The tram back to the city was easy to catch. A great day out!
