When heading into the Rundel Mall it is always a great landmark to walk past this place (on a mission to Haiges!). While Adelaide is one of the newer state capitols, many of the buildings are just approaching old enough to be really interesting - and this is one of them.

We were told about Beehive Corner known for its architecture and brickwork right on the corner of Rundle Mall and Hindley St. What really attracted us was the Haigs Chocolate shop (an institution in Adelaide) on the corner...very hard to go past that store actually.

Haighs is here, so i have to love this place. The building is old but very cool. Very interesting architecture with the highlight being the Haigh's Chocolate store out the front. Well worth a visit.

Lovely Heritage building on the corner of King William Street and Rundle Mall and where we were delivered on completion of our Adelaide Highlights Tour. Dating to 1895, it replaced a previous structure dating to the early 1840's. Beautiful neo-Gothic façade with decorative turret above. Associated with chocolate since construction, Haigh’s Chocolates, established in 1915 in the building, has sold chocolates here since.…
