Lots of unique shops to experience!
We were spoilt for choice with all that Rundle Mall had to offer on our visit! An underground opal mine, beautiful views of the mall from myer centre, a step back in time in the 1880s Adelaide Arcade, and a delicious selection of chocolates in Haighs. The mall is short and sweet, but walk slowly because you will easily walk past some of the smaller arcades, which is where we found some of our favourite shops! Keep an eye out for Balfours Bakery, Charlesworth Nuts, R.M Williams, Blackbys Sweet Shop and Haighs Chocolates if you are wanting to see some unique South Australian shops!

Comparable to Bourke Street Mall in Melbourne but longer. Plenty of diversions to curiously investigate and see what’s there. Sadly like Melbourne many shops in the side arcades for lease and empty. Wife happy as found a jacket style prior hunted in major retail shop. Pretty day and many shoppers on the move.

A great place for lunch, meandering, and a few hours of shopping
There are plenty of great eateries and shopping experiences to be had in Rundle Mall. Haigh's Chocolates is a must-do (and a must-sample!), as well as Victorian-style Adelaide Arcade and Gays Arcade. If you're needing a loo stop while meandering Rundle Mall, head into the Myer Centre building where you'll find them on most floors. A quick detour down James Place (which runs off Rundle Mall) is the speccy Blackeby's Old Sweet Shop. There are numerous side streets and lanes running off the mall that are worth exploring, too. Allow yourself a few hours to explore the mall and surrounds.

High point of shopping in Adelaide
Rundle Mall is located in the Adelaide CBD, it has many retail and sightseeing wonders, including statues and well-known department stores such as Myer and David Jones. Rundle Mall is a high point of visiting Adelaide. Many of the specialized retail stores are fascinating and worth inspecting. Rundle Mall is a favorite destination for locals and visitors, it's always busy. It's a high point of visiting Adelaide, South Australia's capital.

Fashion, food and fun - A treat for shoppers
The pedestrian street mall known as Rundle Mall was a wonderful stretch for browsing at leisure and picking the things that attracted. The big brands and the boutique shops were competing to entice the visitors while cafes and chocolatiers were offering their signature produce. There were several arcades with shops that were selling luxury brands, some were flagship stores and some were familiar retail outlets. Pedestrian area had interesting art work like the two stainless steel spheres nick named mall’s balls, small but very colourful Rundle mall fountain and the family of pigs enjoying their day out with one peeping into a bin may be with the intention of raiding it. The corner shop of South Australia’s Haigh’s Chocolates had some specialities for us to pick and the Koko Black at Adelaide arcade had a mouthwatering Hot chocolate drink which we relished. It was a place where we did not feel the time pass by and found the precinct to be well kept and clean.

    Atmospheric Pedestrian Mall
We love Rundle Mall! I grew up in Australia but now live in US. It was great to see the pedestrian mall again. Rather eclectic group of people and buskers. Lively and plenty of shopping, no traffic to get in your way, lots of nice smelling galleries and boutique stores as well as Woolworths and Kmart. We stayed close so spent a lot of time there, great to walk around and soak in the atmosphere. Getting a photo with the balls is a must!

The beautiful old architecture in Rundle Mall is the main draw card for this precinct, with street art and pop-up vans selling French pastries and lovely bunches of flowers being added attractions. Sadly, the ubiquitous big-name shops are the only ones to be found here, with boutique originals probably unable to afford the rent here.
The dining options here are plentiful, affordable and generally delicious.

When I first visited Adelaide, I was in primary school. Perth has nothing to compare with Rundle Mall. Myer is an up-scale department store, unmatched in Western Australia. These days, Rundle Mall is full of interesting shops and attractions, including the statues of the pigs, which look remarkably life-like. We have visited Adelaide many times, and we check out Rundle Mall every time we visit the South Australian capital.

Rundle Mall is a regional pedestrian mall in the heart of Adelaide. It's the heart of shopping, dining and entertainment in the centre of the city. It hosts over 1,000 retail and service outlets, with many global and local brands. By the way, Salvador Dali's surreal materpiece "Triumphant Elelphant" is now in reidence. Rundle Mall is a "must see" in Adelaide.

The best place to shop in Adelaide. Rundle Mall is an open, outdoor mall (similar to other mall in capital cities in Australia; such as Brisbane's Queen St Mall). It is centrally located & easily accessable with a tram stop at one end of the mall. There are many big brand stores such as JB Hi Fi, The Body Shop, Myers Centre, Coles & Woolworths along with old arcades with little shops to explore. This is a great place to explore during the day & night. As visitors stroll through the mall they will encounter sculptures (such as the Rundle Mall Pigs) & street performers.

We parked behind Rundle Place and then walked down to the Mall. There is a lovely collection of shops here and such variety there is something for everyone. We didn't make any purchases but we did wander down the Adelaide Arcade which is definitely worth a visit, it was all decked out for Christmas when we visited and I loved the mix of shops in the arcade. There was a gentleman in the middle of the mall playing a Gehu which we could hear where ever we walked and it was absolutely beautiful, we sat and listened to him for a short time and the music was so haunting. We loved being able to park so close to the Mall, we loved the mix of shops here and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Rundle Mall it’s very similar to every other maul in a major city. What makes it different is the sculptures in the mall. For example there are life-size pig statues and then the controversial big silver ball statues. They certainly don’t look out of place but they are interesting. There are lots of different k’s leading off from the maul that contain very different and very interesting little unique shops. It is well worth leaving the actual mall and heading off down one of the many arcades.

What a great place to visit on a Sunday afternoon. We were in port for the day and chose well-rated attractions within a specific area (the mall, Ayers House, and the art museum.) When we travel we like a mix of experiences and felt the mall gave us a glimpse of locals enjoying their weekend in the pretty city of Adelaide. We walked from one end to the other, stopping to enjoy the architecture with a little shopping and a nice lunch on the balcony overlooking all the activity below the Richmond Hotel. There are fountains, the Malls Balls, and the adorable pigs, plus street performers. Rundle exceeded our expectations.

Any tourist to Adelaide will likely visit this Mall. There have certainly been many changes and developments since we last visited, and we visited daily for either dining, shopping or just to merely browse the shops and enjoy the attractions and entertainment. Approx. 500m in length, the Mall is a busy hub for the more than 1,000 businesses that are established there. I reckon that there is something for everyone here; high end fashion and brand names, clothing brands too numerous to contemplate, footwear, sportswear, jewellery, food outlets, arcades, etc. We enjoyed some pretty good entertainment with various Asian musicians and their unusual instruments, the indigenous didgeridoo playing one man rock band, various songsters, some good and some just so-so. The whole mix created a great atmosphere in the Mall.

Loved this strip of shops! We arrived on Thursday night around 7 and it was a ghost town and we were so confused. Turns out trading hours go until 5pm except fridays which is until 9pm. Friday had a completely different life to it, be sure to try it out!!

First time to Rundle Mall and enjoyed the walk around. Plenty of shops and loved the 2 'historic' arcades. Lots of people around with lots of music being played by different artists along the way. Seemed to be a shortage of eateries/cafes in the mall itself. We had to go hunting in the larger buildings and to find somewhere to eat. Other than that, as tourists to Adelaide, we enjoyed the atmosphere, especially as it was pre-Christmas, so there were lots of decorations around.
