Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Could not recommend Cellar Door Tours more highly! We had such a great day visiting the wineries of Adelaide Hills and Barossa Valley. Our driver Steve was so friendly and knowledgeable, and the wineries he selected for us impressed us both with wines we tasted and cellar door experiences.

McLaren Vale tour. Tim was an outstanding host. Well versed on local history, geography and wines.
Kept us informed and entertained throughout the day. Adjusted the agenda on the go to improve our experience.
The entire day was just an A+ experience.

Steve picked us with a smile in his step and a wealth of knowledge to share. We made the journey out to McLaren Vale with tales of journeys past and shared experiences of life in general.
The trip was catered to our tastes. We made four stops throughout the day. Each venue was selected based on our pre-advised tastes in wine.
Olivers Tarranga, d’Arenburg, Richard Hamilton and Hugo. Olivers and Hugo were our hands down favourites for engagement, entertainment and wine quality. Smaller establishments and Olivers boasted a furry friend welcoming us!
Richard Hamilton was excellent for lunch stop and the sparkling Chardonnay Pinot Noir.
d’Arenburg was flashy, well presented but lacked the more personal feel of the smaller wineries. Still worth a visit though.
Humour and site seeing abounded throughout the trip. Can’t thank Steve enough for an awesome day out for this merry band of misfit former workmates on a reunion.

Our tour around McLaren Vale with Steve was amazing. He took us to four wineries which were absolutely beautiful and each had a delicious selection. Steve was very knowledgeable and friendly and we were very appreciative of the many Dad jokes.
Will be recommending to friends who visit Adelaide - was a great day!

From start to finish Tim our guide for the day was excellent. Picked us up from our hotel in Adelaide on time. 9 of us out to the Barossa wineries where his knowledge of the area was first class.
Was very flexible where we would like to go and see.
Then lunch included was at a restaurant called Wanera at Anguston. 5 star food with no complaints from our group. Just the best day out😁

Hi. I’ll be arriving at the Adelaide airport on a Sun in Nov at 9.10am. Will I make it on time for your tour that day if I’m staying at the Adelaide Riviera Hotel? Thanks.

Hi Gako79,
Many thanks for your enquiry.
We usually collect from Adelaide CBD between 9:00am - 9:30am so as the Airport is close to the city I am sure we could make this work.
Please email me your required date so we can check availability and send full details?
Regards,
Steve

How much does the tour to the barossa valley cost

Hi,
I did a tour with them in January this year, off memory it costed $160 pp, which had them picking up from our hotel and returning us there in the afternoon. We visited 6 cellar doors and included lunch.
I recommend it because the tour is small and never has more than 6 people.
Hope this helps

We will have 2 kids (age nearly 5, 10) and grandparents along with us, is this tour appropriate for all?

They are very accomodating and I 'm sure you would be taken to places suitable for the kids to come. We went to lovely wineries on large property. I would call them an arrange a suitable trip, you won't regret it.
