You forget how beautiful your own city is. We stayed the weekend in town and wandered down North Terrace looking at the beautiful buildings and statues and sculpture. Coffee at the museum watching people and pidgeons, great fun

North Terrace has some very good historical buildings and some nice views over the river but the west end is a little more modern and typical city. Stick to the east end.

We stayed several days in this area and found it very rewarding. Good public transportation connections, restaurants, museums, art exhibitions, river banks, the Oval - can recommend spending time here.
