Seeing that there are shows on for animals throughout the day, it's for certain that you will be there for a whole day. I love the variety of animals at the zoo and how their caretakers always take great care of them, not the mention the green swamp/lake home to baboons.

The Adelaide zoo is a great place to go for a family day out or even a one on one date with your kids, nephews, nieces etc. The new playground that was put together with Variety is brilliant as you can now do a trip for everyone to see the animals and have a park all in one.

It was a nice well looked after zoo - staff were very friendly and gave us a discount for seniors even though we were visitors and not from Aus. Much appreciated - also we fed the kangaroos with food supplied which was a nice experience. The best zoo we have ever visited in Aus.

Predominantly visited to experience the Giant Pandas. Arrived as the zoo opened and first up admired the Hippos, the oldest in Australia, wonderful species and always enjoy viewing and learning about them. Volunteers Keith and Nicholas where interesting to talk with and exceptionally helpful. Moved straight onto the pandas, Wang Wang and Funi. We where fortunate enough to experience Wang... More

Nothing wonderful. Small cages, cramped for the animals. Expensive to get in and only took an hour to go round. Came onnour honeymoon to Adelaide as my husband desperately wanted to see the Pandas. All this hype about Pandas Wang Wang and FuNi "look we have Pandas"!!! It was hard to find the area they were in. And very sterile..... More

We really loved this zoo. Walked there from the CBD where we were staying so we were rather relieved that it's not one of those vast zoos where you have to walk for miles and miles. All the animals looked happy enough except the male lion who had been having seizures so he had to be separate from his ladies... More

Well managed and many animals that you can see here. It's at the center of the city. You can walk from the tram stop, bus stop or Adelaide railway station. Enjoy.

We visited Adelaide zoo solely to see the pandas and it didn't disappoint. Their enclosure allowed us to view them up close and the keeper gave a very interesting and informative talk about them. So very cute! The rest of the zoo was also worth a visit but the pandas were definitely our highlight. Entry prices for adults is $34.50... More
