We entered the zoo not long after opening, and began a semi random walk about. We examined the programme and found we could attend the bird show. We made our way to the area of the show and sat on the grass. The Show had an excellent commentary from the keepers who ran the show, this was a worthwhile expenditure of time. Post the show we continued our exploration and after visiting the Giant Pandas we we about to depart when we approached one of the volunteers. We asked if we could be shown about, he said his time was limited but he would show up about. It was a tour to some highlights including the Giant Panda area. It was so so good - stories of what some animals did and others about world wide breeding the Zoo was involved in, and much more. This was so special! Something we will always remember - Thank you!!

Very clean zoo. There is also a bat colony outside the zoo. There animal homes are very leafy and nice relative to other zoos. Recommended.

My wife and I had a great day. All the staff and keepers are friendly and very experienced. Their knowledge is exceptional and they obviously care about what they do. It made me realise even more than I thought how important zoos are in saving the animals they look after

Overall i thought Zoo was well maintained. Very Clean. There were quite a few exhibits that were closed. The only negative was the Lion Exhibit. Thought they needed more space to move about in.

Didn't prebook and queued up to enter at 9.30am. Covid check in fine but questioned by security guard as to whether we had come from interstate? When we told him yes, he didn't seem worried. Ticket seller lectured us about booking online prior to visit so was quite a drama to get in the gate! Fairly expensive entry fee but once in was ok. Highlights are the gardens and the pandas; rest fairly average. We parked on the street outside and paid $16.80 for max 4 hours. We didn't need 4 hours!! Take a water bottle as bottles of water $5 each.
