TreeClimb is an excellent fun and adventurous option for children’s birthday parties. My 6yo son and his group of 5-7yo friends thoroughly enjoyed themselves working their way through the Kids Course several times during the 1 hour and 20 minute session (closed toe shoes are a must and long pants are definitely recommended). And when required, the super friendly TreeClimb crew were there along the course to provide encouragement and lend a helping hand.
I was impressed by the Kids Course safety induction video, which was pitched perfectly for younger (and older) children, and also by the professionalism of the TreeClimb crew.
TreeClimb has a small cafe with a good range of coffee, cold drinks, ice creams and snacks. They don’t offer party catering, but are happy for parties to BYO food, drink and cake. We also came prepared with an esky and ice as they are unable to refrigerate any BYO food/cake (it’s all clearly outlined in their comprehensive and informative website FAQs and T&Cs).
There are a few large outdoor tables and seating shaded by umbrellas, but these fill up very quickly. We were lucky to snag one for our party (we did have a relatively early morning session) and I would definitely bring my own picnic rugs or trestle tables as a back-up plan if holding a party later in the day. It’s a lovely area of the parklands and it’s tempting to linger for an extended picnic at the end of a climbing session.
I also recommend arriving at least 15-30 minutes before the start of the session to provide enough time to find a park. Parking is available along Greenhill Road and Unley Road, but the spots closest to TreeClimb are often full.
This is the second birthday party we’ve held at TreeClimb and we will definitely be back for more.
