The champagne pools are a place to definitively visit. The best time is it low tide, so the waves don’t crash over the rocks and you can swim and float in the rock pools. A great place to also come with children because they can search for little marine life like crabs etc. It really gave a vibe of something very European definitely a spot to visit and just around the corner from Indianhead. it’s not a very long walk from the car park to the viewpoint, and from there they’re wooden steps leading down to the rock pools. A very popular place for all people who come to Fraser island so I recommend you visit the island of peak and out of school holiday time definitely recommend you visiting

The beautiful place is a must for visitors to Fraser Island. There is a walk from the car park along a boardwalk with spectacular views all the way to the pools. The pools are filled by the sea water crashing over the rocks.....so very beautiful!

Pretty spot, great sections for the kids to play on the sand and in the shallow water. Nice place for a swim. It’s a small area and very very crowded though so we preferred to spend our time elsewhere.

Took 3 hours to drive here from Kingfisher Bay Resort - but it was worth it. My favourite place on Fraser Island. Good parking area with modern well maintained toilet/change rooms. Then a short walk along a well maintained boardwalk and down to the most beautiful beach. There were quite a few stairs if that is a concern. It was overcast and drizzling when we were there but the sea was still warm so we had a dip. If it was hot and sunny you'd need a sun shade because there is no sun protection at the beach. The massive waves crash over the rocks and filter like champagne bubbles into the massive rock pool. Beautiful place.

Beautiful island, rented a beautiful 4x4 on the island from Aussie Trax, a simple Suzuki Jimny but perfect for a day of racing on the beach, for a day trip around the island. Make sure you follow the mandatory online training one day before your rental, this will save you an hour on the day of rental. Saw a lot of dingoes. And! A lot of rain makes driving through the jungle extra exciting

Great example of the mass market nature of Fraser Island. Overcrowded car park, boardwalk over the headland (which does have some good views) then you see the very shallow pools. The sea washes over them so if there are stingers, they'll be in the pools.

Champagne pools was my fav stop on the island. A little bit of a walk to get down to them, but well worth it. Best visited at high tide when there is more water in them. Basically, swimming in the ocean on the east side of Fraser Island is not a good idea because of sharks. Champagne pools is a safe swimming spot, as it is surrounded by rock, and the water from the waves splashing over gets trapped in there. It doesn't get too deep, my 8yr old could stand in most parts of the pools, and it is sheltered. On our way down the steps of the board walk we also spotted a couple of whales playing just offshore.

The Champagne Pools are a great, safe spot for some salt water swimming. We timed it well, with the incoming tide bringing waves of fresh water in to the tidal pools. For those with mobility issues, there’s a boardwalk with numerous stairs descending to the beach and ‘pools’. The car parking area is not large, but seemed to be sufficient. There are toilets adjacent the parking area.

Champagne Pools in Fraser Island was the best waves bubbling water pool I have ever been. Waves crashes the volcanic rock and comes to the pool. You can enjoy swimming in waves or just in the pools with family and friends.

Not just the champagne pools but an area with many sights. The champagne pools were an amazing site particularly from the elevated board walk. We also saw manta rays lurking on the other side of the rocks in the breaking waves. We didn’t swim but plenty were. An easy walk to the pools from the parking area with many sights to view.
