Relaxing pools not hot water
Nov. 2021
Loved relaxing in the water after a hot day in the summer of Queensland. We spent a good 45 mins here and took photos with Indian heads in the background

Amazing experience to see nature at its best
May 2021 • Couples
Not just the champagne pools but an area with many sights. The champagne pools were an amazing site particularly from the elevated board walk. We also saw manta rays lurking on the other side of the rocks in the breaking waves. We didn’t swim but plenty were. An easy walk to the pools from the parking area with many sights to view.

Beautiful little tidal pools for swimming
Apr. 2021 • Family
The Champagne Pools are a great, safe spot for some salt water swimming. We timed it well, with the incoming tide bringing waves of fresh water in to the tidal pools. For those with mobility issues, there’s a boardwalk with numerous stairs descending to the beach and ‘pools’. The car parking area is not large, but seemed to be sufficient. There are toilets adjacent the parking area.

A lot of sand... not as good as before. Waves were quite strong thus need to closely look after your kids

Lovely views
Jan. 2021
This is a nice place to swim. The views are lovely from here. The waves coming over the rocks into the pools make it a bit of fun. Keep an eye out - there was quite a few fish swimming around the rocks in the pools.

Amazing views

A fun spot to see - beautiful. Parking was tricky. Not the best spot for swimming, especially with younger kids. Very rocky, not a lot of places to sit.

Fun in the sun
Oct. 2020
There is NO shade, so take a shelter or put on the sunscreen. It was fun for a swim as the tide came in and the waves crashed over the rocks. Still fine for kids to swim in the shallows.

Worth the drive
Sep. 2020
Took 3 hours to drive here from Kingfisher Bay Resort - but it was worth it. My favourite place on Fraser Island. Good parking area with modern well maintained toilet/change rooms. Then a short walk along a well maintained boardwalk and down to the most beautiful beach. There were quite a few stairs if that is a concern. It was overcast and drizzling when we were there but the sea was still warm so we had a dip. If it was hot and sunny you'd need a sun shade because there is no sun protection at the beach. The massive waves crash over the rocks and filter like champagne bubbles into the massive rock pool. Beautiful place.

Favourite place on the island
Aug. 2020 • Family
Champagne pools was my fav stop on the island. A little bit of a walk to get down to them, but well worth it. Best visited at high tide when there is more water in them. Basically, swimming in the ocean on the east side of Fraser Island is not a good idea because of sharks. Champagne pools is a safe swimming spot, as it is surrounded by rock, and the water from the waves splashing over gets trapped in there. It doesn't get too deep, my 8yr old could stand in most parts of the pools, and it is sheltered. On our way down the steps of the board walk we also spotted a couple of whales playing just offshore.
