Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Take your inflatable rings, be prepared for the cold water, and float down the natural "lazy river" that is Eli Creek!
You could easily spend an entire day here, floating down the creek and then walking back up via the convenient boardwalk!
If you have kids, they will absolutely LOVE it. Please accompany them though as the water can get deep in places.

Great natural lazy river… just beautiful!
Installations are great and clean. We saw a few dingos but they were very chill.

Eli creek exceeded our expectations it was absolutely stunning. It’s a dingo hot spot so follow the rules (walk in groups with kids at arms length, carry a stick, don’t go up to dingos) and you’ll be fine. The water is so clear and the bottom is sandy. We brought floaties from home which was 100% worth bringing over. One of our top activities on K’gari.

Fun little spot for families and groups. We parked on the creeks edge and set up for a couple of hours. The boardwalk is a short pretty walk and the creek is very scenic and relaxing to float down. Kids and adults all loved it. Bring your inflatables. Bathrooms are nearby too. It’s a very busy spot, but that was to be expected.

You can hardly do any abulations. Very shallow. This creek is overtaken by kids who are rude and push you with their inflatables.

There's a 100 metre boardwalk to the top of the creek and then you can float down it in a few minutes. Adults can walk down it without getting their shorts wet so it can be more difficult for them to float down. The lower part is a car park. The water's nice and cool so it does offer a rare refreshing point on the east coast - aside from a few similar creeks, you have to go inland to swim.

Visited on Friday 24th February. Another very popular spot-on Fraser Island. It was great walking along the boardwalk checking out the clear water running through the creek.

Our trip to Eli Creek was so much fun. We set up a gazebo and the awning on the side of our car so we had plenty of shade (highly recommend doing this as there is no shade at the creek), took a portable bbq with us and cooked up some sausages & hamburgers, and had plenty of cold drinks in the Engel. The creek was nice to walk through and refreshing to lay in. Next time we will take floaty rings to float down the creek. It was exciting driving along the beach, driving through water (it was deeper than we thought but lots of fun), great atmosphere at the creek and we also saw some dingoes. Absolutely awesome day. Only negative is that it’s quite a long walk to the toilets, especially on a hot day.

Whilst visiting Fraser Island for the day we were dropped off at the creek which is a gem meters from the sea. A safer area to swim and cool off in than the risky ocean with stingers and rift tides
