An unbelievable weekend!! The weather wasn't what we expected but Mark and his staff went above and beyond to make the most of our time on Fraser Island, from picking us up from our accommodation, storing our luggage for free, giving us tasty food and ensuring we had the best time on the island. Mark was incredibly passionate about K'gari and his job, it was obvious him and his wife cared a lot about the island and they educated the group re taking care of it. It was a good mix of spending time in various parts of Fraser Island, eating unreal homemade food and having drinks with the group. We learnt so much from Mark and it was really interesting to learn about the indigenous culture on the island. Mark made the itinerary flexible due to the weather and also took the group's wishes into consideration. He was very knowledgeable, he knew the answer to all the questions we fired at him! We stayed in the beach hostel accommodation which was really cool, clean, comfy beds and a good atmosphere for the group, you really did feel immersed in the environment and detached from the world, it was a great feeling. The best part for me was driving the 4x4 on the beach and in the bush, was so fun and an amazing experience! We will 100% be coming back again with dropbear to see more of the island, we wouldn't go with anyone else! Thank you again for a great weekend, myself and Pedro loved every minute!…

I am so glad I have chosen Drop Bear Adventures to visit K'Gari. I truly felt like having an adventure rather than a tour. From the moment we entered the island and when we left, the outer world disappeared, I was fully there and nothing counted more than discovering this place, that the guide made us feel like sacred and precious. + Our guide Jaden was very knowledgeable, humble, genuine and passionate. He knows the island very well and always looked after each and every one in the group. Those 3 days were full of discoveries without being hectic. In addition I found it offered a great combination of aboriginal culture and local Nature. I learnt a lot! We could spot wild animals and were told a few legends and facts about the local beliefs. The planning is well balanced as we get to walk, swim, paddle, play... and not only drive. We were well equipped with good cars (some seat belts to be checked), walkie talkies, and fresh water all the way. Driving on the sand was not my cup of tea but it was very nice that everyone could have a go to know what it is like. - Despite my great enthusiasm for this trip, I believe some improvements are possible: -we need a little more information on what we will do there, not much of it on the website, no planning communicated. -I knew we would sleep in the hostel (very qualitative by the way) and not camp, because I asked. Those who did not ask thought they would camp, which is initially what we pay for. Some more communication is needed in my opinion. -The food! The 3 lunches (one outside the hostel) were the exact same wrap with simply some vegetables and sauce inside. We are not asked if we like/dislike, no choice. For such a well equipped kitchen and the time available, much better can be done. Also, as a vegetarian, I simply got vegetables and no protein option (tofu, beans, tempe, egg, protein patty, soy, seytan...). As Australia is usually very advanced on this, it was disappointing. In overall I think the food was okay for a day tour but could be more worked out for a 3 day premium experience. Thank you Drop Bear and Jaden for this incredible escape. I will never forget those colourful lakes, this long long beach, those car bounces, this thin sand and the tea tree hypnotic fragrance.…

Going solo in to a group of two couples and a set of friends seemed a bit daunting however I was blessed with not only a great group and beautiful weather, along with an even better tour guide, Troy. Due to covid our tour was much smaller and it was a more intimate and detailed experience. From the get go Troy was a breathe of fresh air making us all feel at ease. On the drive down he would explain all about the scenery and why this caused that etc, Troy has no issues answering my million questions. Each and every place we were taken to was shown respect to the Aboriginal people and especially the Butchulla people with Troy explaining their way of life and how they were more than unfairly treated by certain people. All of his story times were amazing, along with his bush/earth knowledge. The food was great, the camps were great, I have nothing bad at all to say about Drop Bears, if you’re wanting to go to K’GARI (Frasier) this is the tour for you!!! Thank you so much to Troy and the team for making my experience amazing! …
