Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you want to ever experience driving in the sand, this beach and its vehicle highway is the place to do it - just watch out for those waves coming in with the tide!

The creatures that are native to this beach are killed by the quadbikes and ill disciplined visitors that are the absolute majority in this scenic beach.

It's for getting along the island quickly (average 60+km/h compared to 20-30 inland). It gets constant traffic, regardless of tides except at a couple of washouts and rocks (the beach north of Waddy Point is actually undriveable near high tide, so it's a lot better). With the traffic and the dangerous water (with no good swimming nearby, just shallow creeks), it's not good for much, although a lot of people fished. The campgrounds along here might be the most enjoyable at night but they vary greatly - some have no shelter from the vicious wind, some are overcrowded, all have roads right through everything - further north gets better, particularly past Waddy Point.

Visited on Friday 24th February. It was great being able to drive along 75 mile beach, the driver knew how to handle the 4 wd bus on the hard sand.

The beach drive takes you away from the very bumpy tracks and at the same time is exhilarating as you travel the 70 odd klm's there and back. You also see the wreck and have a swim at Eli Creek. The tour bus is very comfortable and the ride is smooth.

I couldn't believe we saw a whale and a dingo as we were driving up 75mile beach - felt very lucky to see them both from a safe distance.

A sand highway with speed signs and an airstrip. The views are forever and the beach is safe to drive on. This is a must do experience and easy to do. Sunrise over this beach is spectacular, as it the Milky Way views at night (at the correct time of year)

As far as the eye can see blue blue water and white white sand. The sand is so clean and the contrast between sea and sand is quite spectacular.
