A gorgeous garden full of interesting plants and trees-there is a quaint coffee shop for refreshments out the front and a few wallabies wonder around.Close to Townsville and free.I saw plants I had never seen before.

Specialising in palms and cacti, this was an interesting and unusual garden. Not within walking distance of town, though.
It even smells like a rainforest. Beautiful walks through stunning plants. Lovely coffee shop and plenty of parking.
Take your time to enjoy these beautiful and peaceful gardens - the display is wonderful. There is a great cactus/succulent garden, as well as many palm trees and a rainforest section.
Good for a stroll, loved the African and Madagascan gardens, could not find the japanese garden? Nice bridges and plenty of seats and water bubblers
Lovely place to wander through, amazing selection of palms, cacti and all manner of plants. Refreshing climate on a hot afternoon. Highly recommended.
Relax under palms, or enjoy high tea at this traditional tea shop. Next to the river, so can take a walk or ride around this area. Fear for relaxation
Fantastic selection of teas , in a glorious old former school house. Pity the lunches were a disappointment- very soggy wraps
