Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice clean caravan park. Clean modern amenities & laundry. Short drive to Townsville or Crystall creek. Will definitely stay there again.

This is a great place to either stop or camp overnight up to 48hrs it's totally free, just off the Highway in Townsville.
Pet friendly, Tent & Rv friendly with dump point :-)
Get here early before 16:30 and grab a spot with a picnic table.
Great spot for the kids to play and run off some of their excess energy lol !!
There are toilets (blue building in pic) with an outdoor cold shower.
Friday nights across the paddock is the scout hall . It has live music and a few slurpies. :-)
I'll be coming through here again for sure at some point in time.

Great view, magnificent appartments, minimum stay nearly precluded us. Access was not ideal. My wife is mobility challenged and no consideration given to that. The lifts take you up but then need to go down steps to get to the units

During the 50's and 60's,this was our family's favorite swimming hole....I remember taking our old belly tank to Bluewater to paddle up and down the creek....Fabulous fun..!!
The water quality and depth was ideal for swimming too tho' diving is a bit hazardous due to submerged rocks and logs.
Many a picnic was held here and during the late 60's my dad who was a rotarian refurbished the Bluewater area and created picnic areas for the public.
I returned to Bluewater about 2009...We stopped there and noticed water levels were very low and the place seemed to be so uninviting...So we headed off to our other favorite swimming hole of the 60's...Mt Spec..!!...
I gave 4 stars to Bluewater for the memories only...!!

The picture here is of the Strand not Bluewater. Bluewater is an outer rural suburb. This is not a tourist destination. There is a park and creek. Locals will go as a picnic spot and swimming area.

Our review on Townsville, Bluewater Park and surrounding Parks was upfront and honest and exactly what we experienced without being rude or insulting just the true facts with photos and documents to prove it and if Trip Adviser was more transparent and be able to contact them they may have not removed our review and put a prejudice label to it. So we guess you can not go passed good old fashion word of mouth and at least we know now that anything we read on Trip Adviser we believe will not be transparent.

Good place to go for a day's outing. Swimming in the creek is fun and there are BBQs in the park. A nice drive north of Townsville.
