Townsville has the perfect climate for getting out on the water and there's so much to see and do. Whether it's a day crabbing or fishing, exploring Magnetic Island, or heading inland to Burdekin Dam; we have a boat to suit every adventure. We have hire and drive boats - pick them up from Townsville and take them anywhere in Queensland. There are options for those who do not have a Recreational Marine Driver's Licence. We are also pleased to offer custom private tours - choose your own adventure and we make it happen! You hire the whole boat and a skipper and we can take you on a bay-hopping adventure around Magnetic Island, a cruise up the creeks, or a champagne and sushi day out with the girls - the choice is yours! We have just added two-hour sunset tours to the list. Please note: We changed our name in October 2017 from Mudpickers Boat Hire to Townsville Boat Hire.

The personalised service we received from Troy for our boat trip around Magnetic Island was spectacular. He took us to places around the island that we’d never seen before. He tailored the trip to suit us, made suggestions about the best places to go and helped us to enjoy the day. We had an absolutely amazing time.

Troy was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The boat was great and we caught some fish. We wanted to have a few drinks so it was great to not have to worry about driving the boat. Troy catered for all of us with food and we had a great day.

We hired a boat from Troy and went to Magnetic island, had an absolute blast, fantastic day! Troy was super friendly and really helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone with a boat license, this is the best way to explore Maggy island
